    • Not like the older gray one that was a softer material - but lifetime warranty from Hydro Flask
The all black design is a hard plastic, not like the older gray one that was a softer material. However, the gray material would disintegrate after a while, especially if you washed it in the dishwasher. The all black may be a cheaper design, but it appears to last longer. UPDATE - 10/12/17 - a year later, I started experiencing some leaking from the small o-ring under the spout. I tried flipping the o-ring over and that did not seem to help. I contacted Hydro Flask to see if I could order some small o-rings and they replied - don't worry, it has a lifetime warranty! I filled out an online form and they sent a whole new lid! Fantastic service. The lid itself last longer than the old version, but it looks like it wears on the sealing ring - but with a lifetime warranty, this isn't an issue. ... show more

Superb look no further this is the original and you must purchase this and only this straw cap. I had the misfortune to purchase a very similar looking straw cap that can easily be identified by its grey rubber straw tip and some on the base, you must avoid this version or similar at all cost. They look very similar but are extremely different the imitation holds on with only a 1/4 turn of the thread. I have dropped by flask from a very low height or even simply tipping over flask and the cap has come off, because it is not holding on enough to the thread.on the flask. I had concerns about this very issue from the time I received it. But this original Hydro Flask it is made for the Hydro Flask and holds onto the flask with a greater 3/4 turn giving you a much more secure feeling that the cap will not come off from a small fall even just carrying by the handle gave me concerns. The finish is a silky smooth that is plesant to the touch and easy to clean. Buy the original please do not waste your money on any cheap copy. ... show more

I purchased a new Hydroflask and it came with the default lid. I prefer the straw lid so I went searching on Amazon. I found this straw lid and it worked great. It is top-notch and definitely worth the money.

My hydro flask originally came with the lid without the straw. However, I prefer the straw so I came onto Amazon to order it. I was pretty pleased with the price! I was expecting it to be pretty pricey because I feel like hydro flask products are normally on the pricier side, but it was very reasonable. I also feel like it prompts me to drink more water for some reason LOL ... show more
