I bought 4 of these hoists for use in our business, we require them to lift 200lbs and hold it for maybe 15 minutes. Our safety procedures dictate that they are load tested, this was done for 1,000lbs to give a wide safety margin. However all 4 cylinders began leaking during the load test even though it was less than 25% of what Vevor says is the working load limit. Also the left folding leg has excessive vertical movement. Allowing the hoist to rock and lift one of the casters an inch off the ground. The same 2 issues with all 4 hoists indicates an issue with manufacturing. I tried to return but Vevor makes you call them. Which I did, Vevor had no idea how to handle a return and said they would get back to me. I called them back 3 days later and was told because I bought it off of Amazon that a different person would have to deal with me. I was not given any more information. No name, no phone number and they have not contacted me. Learn from my experience. This hoist is garbage and the company is shoddy will not warranty. ... show more

Replaced a JD 425 22 HP motor with 25 HP motor. The 22 HP motor was installed without a hoist several years ago. This time I used the engine hoist to remove old 22 HP and install 25 HP motor. Hoist worked well.

This is the worst piece of engineering I may have ever seen. I can't write all the bad things about this Vevor hoist because it would take too long. A couple of things...The hardware is not labeled so you don't know what goes where, and the blurry/cluttered drawing only makes it worse...The only bolt long enough that MIGHT be the one that goes in the telescoping assembly, is TOO SHORT so you have THREADS in the hole, the shank is too short, EVERYONE knows you DO NOT HAVE THREADS IN A HOLE THAT IS BEARING THE LOAD(except Vevors design engineers)...It's crooked when assembled making me not want to use it, can't return it, and can't sale it. Why does this have a plastic set screw to hold pressure on the jack? It will hold for a few minutes but looses pressure quickly. Please send out metal or aluminum set screws...

The media could not be loaded. Their customer service takes days to respond but if you take more than 24 hours they close your case. I bought 3 items from Vevor and all 3 have been garbage. I bought an engine stand that won't engage with a small block Chrysler 318. I bought a top-side creeper that is equally questionable and I bought this. This is by far the worst of the three. If you watch the videos that I uploaded you can see the entire frame is twisted and just truly unsafe. Purchased September 19th and still going rounds with their customer service. ... show more

It arrived with bolts and washers falling out of the box. They were loose within the box. So I had to go to the hardware store for a couple of replacements. I haven’t hoisted an engine yet, but am concerned how well it will work. With no weight it will Jack up properly but within an hour it drops back to the floor. I have checked all valves and they are tight. So, I may have gotten a leaky jack. I guess I’ll find out next week if it will hoist an engine or not. ... show more
