These headlights were affordable, easy to install, look great and most importantly-bright. Have only ran them for about a week but they have performed well thus far. Haven’t had anyone flash their lights at me yet, which is surprising for the amount of light they throw. I’ve pressure washed my jeep about three times and they appear to be well sealed, no condensation. The light intensity, brightness and pattern are very good. My experience has been that you get what you pay for with LED lighting upgrades. I've been universally disappointed with the many cheap Chinese products that are copies of more expensive and effective products. Two or three years ago, I went with JW Speaker for a pair of LED's for my YJ. They were expensive but very good (even though their plastic lens are showing UV discoloration now). This time around, with a 2006 TJ, I didn't even look at the cheap stuff but went straight to JW Speaker. $800-900 for a pair of lights??? Hey, I balked at that and started looking around. I ordered a pair of these HWSTAR's from Amazon solely because I could return them which I fully expected would happen. Instead, I was very pleasantly surprised that they perform as good as, if not better, than my expensive JW Speakers on the YJ - and at a fraction of the JW Speaker cost for the TJ. I tend to easily pay more for known quality but not on the magnitude of this situation. These are good lights. I don't ever write reviews, but this one is warranted because of how superior these lights are to others. I had some of those spider eye looking led lights and these excel past them on everything. These have that sharp projector cut off line. The brights are concentrated perfectly to light up a long distance. Probably the most astonishing thing is he quality control for the cutoff projection. I'm very particular when adjusting lights. I figured it would take me an hour to adjust them how I like. Not only were they already adjusted perfectly with each other, they were perfect hight in the road. I have a lifted jeep that already had aftermarket headlights, but the fact that they were perfectly aimed in however my jeeps bracket was adjusted just comes to show that this manufacturer has a very tight quality control. So, I'm very critical of LED headlights. I'm a die hard HID/projector retrofit guy for reference. After using these on my '99 Wrangler for a couple weeks now, I'm actually not completely disappointed! I got the ones without the DRL/integrated blinkers. I figured I'd give the bare bones a shot. Fit and finish is very nice. Installed into the headlight buckets without any issues. I will note that the stainless cable gland on the back of each light was loose and required tightening. After install, I checked the pattern. Low beams look like any good quality projector. A few stray artifacts and a slightly fuzzy cut off line on one but, very acceptable. Intensity could definitely be better but, again, I'm use to high quality aftermarket projectors with 55w bulbs/ballasts. High beams are definitely the Achilles heel of these lights though. The intensity is great and I love that the lows stay on but, the high pattern is extremely wide and much too low. If they were less wide and twice as tall, they'd be very, very good. Ultimately, for the price, ease of installation (literally took less than 10 minutes to install both) they're a very solid light set! They remind me of early JW Speaker designs, just WAY cheaper! You really couldn't get a pair of LED headlight this nice 5 years ago for under $500 ... show more

There are many choices for LED headlight replacements for a Jeep Wrangler TJ with some that cost hundreds of dollars per pair. I thought I would try theses based upon the many positive reviews and discounted on Prime day. Installation was easy. Removal was easier than installation. I recommend that anyone with a TJ invest in a Torx head screwdriver size 15 (see picture) as this will make install easier as a torx socket on an extension is just to big to get in to remove and reinstall the screws. Reassembly can be a trick to get the 4 small T15 screws that hold the bezel on back in. The screws are not magnetic so I dip the tip of the torx driver in some sticky adhesive to get the screw to stay on the driver. I also purchased new black ABS plastic bezels from Hooke Road (another good choice) and I painted the hold down bezels black as I did not like the stainless edge showing around the new headlamp. Took the test drive at night and was very impressed how much better these are than the dingy OEM halogens. ... show more

I was adamant about buying these at first because I wasn’t sure if I’d have to cut or grind to make them fit the headlight bucket on my 77 gmc c35 but they installed flush and there plug and play what more can you ask for, there super bright be sure to adjust them or you will blind on coming traffic

The light is crisp and clean, but I am still unsure of this "Z" technology as I spent much time aiming these perfectly up against my garage wall on a level surface. The first night after installing them, I took them down a dark road, and to my amazement, they were super bright on low. I was also delighted with the high beam performance setting; however, I got flashed four times in one evening while on low. You will love them, but other drivers approaching you, not so much. They look great in all black, and I also changed the bezel from chrome to black. Plus, for whatever reason, Amazon sent these to me as "new," but the box was all cut up, and the wires plugged into the back of the lights, letting me know they were definitely "used," yet I had to pay full price, so be careful and check your condition of the product upon arrival. ... show more
