  • Great features and quality for price
Color: Huygens Black
The media could not be loaded. Theres a slew of these mid level all in ones with the same basic features. This is the only all-in-one in this price range I can find with Bluetooth input AND output AND has a variable pitch control, in case you have some old LP that was mastered a little too sharp or flat (have an old Capitol best of Sinatra that is nearly a semi tone off from A440 somehow for instance). Which is a cool feature but the good news is this table spins correct speed/pitch with the pitch control at noon, so most recordings shouldn’t need pitch correction. The built in speakers have a nice range of tone with good treble extension, you hear the cymbals ringing in jazz or big band recordings. Bass is understandably not very punchy but theres enough there to make for pleasant listening. Judging based on acoustic jazz, 50’s Sinatra records, and some classic pop rock, other genres your mileage may vary. Haven’t tried connecting to external speakers with RCA cable but hopefully that would offer another dimension for expanding the sound. Nice classy looking item. Being the only in this range with BT output and pitch control, it’s a winner for me! ... show more

  • Nice intermediate turntable, decent sound, excellent Bluetooth feature
Color: Huygens Walnut
I have a nice technics player for home, but I’ve always wanted a player in my office. This one fit the bill perfectly. As other reviewers have noted the bass is lacking and in my experience, the highs are a little distorted as well, but it’s nothing that’s a dealbreaker - it’s possible that upgrading the cartridge would fix the highs. The Bluetooth feature works quite well. I paired my Apple headphones with it, and listened to records through my headphones, it was kind of a surreal experience, considering the vastly different ages of the technology. Set up wasn’t terribly difficult, although as one reviewer noted balancing the tonearm was a slight challenge. I didn’t have a scale, but I was able to get it working just fine. Be aware that if you move the record player, you will have to reset the balance because the weight is loose on the arm. The only oversight in my opinion (and it’s a small thing) is that when the arm is in the lifted position, you can’t close the lid without putting all the weight of the lid on the arm. In my opinion, the lid should have been made tall enough to accommodate the lifted arm. ... show more

  • Please don’t be discouraged from buying this record player
Color: Huygens Black
Buyers please be aware and don’t be discouraged from buying this record player because I rated it 3 stars there’s a lot of good things I would like to say about this record player first off I’m a person who really loves the old school equipment just saying there built and sound quality is second to none but anyways I have a small cabin in Maine and I’ve been looking for a simple record player that had built in speakers and only played records and I came across the Huygens record player and saw a review on you tube and it sounded great for what I could hear on this person’s review so I took a chance and found one on Amazon take in consideration I was looking for something that didn’t take up a lot of space and this record player is perfect for that but anyways it comes in a very nice handsome very attractive box and it was packed extremely nice I would give that a 5 star for quality control and the care this company took in packing this product to me that shows a lot of pride although the box reads this record player is designed in the USA it’s most likely made in china as most everything is anyway so putting on the belt onto the record player itself was a bit tricky I did get it on there after a few tries and I realize this player is not a high end product I have to take in consideration it is what it is I found the sound of the speakers are ok remember there are only two speakers so don’t expect symphony sound it sounds as it should for two speakers and I noticed that the record skips if I start walking around a little as my old school record player does not but again the old school record player is a Sony and it’s a very good turn table the record player does have a counter weight on the end of the needle so it just might need adjustment not sure some records sounded better than others I’m not crazy about the manual speed adjustment that you have to do yourself rather than having set speeds on the record player so you know what speed you on for a 33 or 45 other than guessing so that’s sort of a inconvenience it also has a Bluetooth connection but I didn’t test that feature out I. The back of the player has a AUX input I’m thinking for a extra speaker maybe or powered sub perhaps and for what it’s worth I kind of expected maybe a bit more out of this player for the price I paid for it on Amazon it was 245.00 not really super expensive but not super cheap either so that’s why I gave it a 3 star instead of a 4 star I will end up keeping it and bringing it to my little place in Maine and hope with a few adjustments it will be a little bit more better and hopefully won’t skip the record as much so I guess I guessi would approve on buying this player but please don’t expect it being a high end product hope this review helps a little bit on any decisions on buying this record player ... show more

  • Exceeded my expectation for every aspect
Color: Huygens Walnut
The media could not be loaded. This product has completely surpassed my expectations! While it's not very heavy, it is a larger record player, so you'll need a decent amount of space for it. Installation is straightforward, and the sound quality is excellent. The lid is a fantastic feature, helping to prevent dust and scratches when not in use. I also appreciate the three source options: vinyl, aux, and Bluetooth. It's also a great choice as an elegant speaker. I can't wait to enjoy more music on it! And I can eventually retire my older bluetooth speaker! ... show more

  • Looks cool but . . .
Color: Huygens Walnut
This record player looks as cool as the picture. Assembly was EZ, packaging was well thought out. Problem is that the sound produced was not good. In fact, it was bad. Upon playing a new record, we were disappointed. Within a minute I knew this would be a return, however I did want to check out the Bluetooth connectivity. After a further 20 minutes of futzing around, it was determined that Bluetooth did not function. Save your money. Invest in something better, I eventually settled for pieced together vintage equipment, (circa 1980's), that maybe ran me $500 together. In the end, I still got the 'cool' looks, but the sound is truly amazing. Two stars for the retro Arkrocket design, but that's it. I cannot recommend this product as a record player. ... show more
