I love these scissors! I work in pre admission testing and normally use the bandage scissors and most of the time they are all that I need. Years ago as an ED nurse, I had the big trauma scissors. We recently had a code on our unit (rare occurrence!) and I needed to cut a patient’s clothing. It was definitely a struggle with my bandage scissors that just aren’t designed for heavy duty like the trauma scissors. I’ve gotten used to having smaller scissors that fit in my pocket and didn’t really want to go back to having big scissors. When I saw these small trauma scissors, I decided to try them out. They are bigger than bandage scissors but still small enough to fit in my scrub top pocket and they are very lightweight. I love how these how so many additional features like the tip functioning as a screwdriver and the strong magnet on one side of them. They are very sharp and if I ever have another code on my unit, I know they will work well. They also work for what I use them for daily on my unit. Great bandage scissors that are plenty sharp for everything I’ve needed to cut while also being fun and cute. They fit in my scrub top pocket great and I forget they’re even there. I love that it also has an oxygen key and tool for stick ports. The magnet is very particular on what it will stick to but I don’t need that so it’s not a problem. They are very sharp, and the addition of the teeth on the bottom blade really help them grip and cut through any fabrics. I love the magnet too, I don’t always use it, but when I do I am super glad it’s there. They’re a little bit smaller than I was expecting, but that’s totally alright, I find that they actually fit very nicely in several of the different little pockets in my scrubs. Big enough to get the job done, but smaller than my last pair of trauma shears so they’ll fit in my pocket better. Like the IV cap feature! Can’t imagine much use for the O2 tank key working on the floor. Would rather have a bottle opener for lidocaine if we’re turning it into a multi-tool. I love these scissors. The size is great. They are a fantastic multi-tool. When I realized the rectangle in the middle was an Oxygen tank key my head almost exploded with delight (our key is always lost). I use the clamp option all the time to remove IV ports or needles that are trapped by tension. The cutting ability of the beauties is nothing short of AMAZING. The smaller size is nice for my average sized female hands. My ONE, yes exact ONE COMPLAINT: the handles. They are crap. They constantly flex when pressure is applied. I can see the handles breaking in the near future. As far as comfort to hold or attach to my kit while I am working the handles are fine. If only I never had to apply pressure to cut anything. (Sarcasm) How can these be so fantastic and have such a huge oversight on the durability of the grip area of a fantastic tool? Would I buy them again? Yes Would I buy them again when the handles break? I'm probably going to rig a new pair of handles out of a sturdy material before buying another pair if I am only buying again due to the weakest part giving way. Will you be sad if you buy these? probably not. They really are fantastic scissors for work. ... show more

These are great shears. I have utilized three out of four functions except the screwdriver tip on a regular basis. The oxygen tank aperture works well and has not damaged the hinge so far. The scissors cut well. The handles also do not fall off after a few weeks unlike these mini shears I would repurchase every month because a handle would predictably fall off. ... show more

I'm not a nurse or Dr. but I needed a safe, sharp, durable, lightweight and most of all SMALL pair of scissors that I could use as an EDC. Boy did I make the right choice! They slide in my pocket and I don't even realize they're there and as a test I had a pair of leather winter boots, the waterproofing was gone and the insulation degraded so I took my mighty Hummingbird's and tested them on those boots. I couldn't believe how they sliced through them, I cut down the side all the way to the sole in under a minute. Now I will say physics dictates that if they we're bigger I would have had more leverage and could have made even quicker work of the boots but then I couldn't carry them in my pocket.. There is one thing I wish they had and it's not the scissors fault but a way to attach them to a belt loop would be nice. Hope this helps! ... show more
