It makes me happy there are people who will return a bike because of little fender dents/scrapes and people who return bikes because assembly is too challenging. Those folks supply Amazon Warehouse with the heavily discounted items I'll gladly buy. The Huffy Fairmont 26" Ladies Cruiser bike I ordered (for my Mom) and received promptly from Amazon Warehouse was exactly what I expected. I'm assuming the previous customer partially (unsuccessfully) assembled this prior to returning it. It had a couple fender dings and minor paint scrapes on the frame. One tire was inflated and buldged off the rim, but that was NOT a defect! It was simply sloppy assembly. It took me a little under an hour to un-ding and align the fenders, adjust and regrease the overly tight wheel bearings, properly center and reinflate the tires (NO LEAKS at all after 4 days), secure the coaster brake arm in the correct position, install the handlebars, and assemble and adjust the seat. I don't normally ride ladies bicycles, but I had to take this one for a test ride around the block. This is definately an upright seated CRUISER bike. Very solid feeling frame, easy to pedal, and silky smooth ride. I really LIKE the lower frame step-through design. Good for light exercise and light grocery shopping (once a rear rack and front basket are installed). I am 5'10" and with the seat near maximum height the pedals were still a little closer than ideal for me... IF I were riding for more than a couple miles. However, the seat adjustment range should be perfect for Mom :-) I remember reverse pedal coaster brakes from my youth (>50 years ago). The coaster brake on this bike works just fine, but it may seem weak for those used to high performance disc brakes. This is NOT a high performance racing bike. A single gear and coaster brake make it VERY SIMPLE to adjust, ride, and maintain. I am very pleased with this purchase and can recommend this bike for its intended end users. ... show more

Got this for my daughter because she never stops growing. I only gave this 4 stars due to the rear tire being bent a little. Can still ride the bike and have reached out to Huffy for a replacement tire. They got back to me right away. You know kids, she still loves the bike and sees no flaws. To be a kid again. I know this bike seems like a great deal and that Huffy used to be a great brand... but think again. I went to a local cyclery to have a professional look at this bike only to learn that Huffy is one of the worst brands out there now because they sell bikes like this. Turns out the gears that the chain wrap around are supposed to be in a straight line from the pedal to the back tire so the chain doesn't get knocked off the gears while riding, but Huffy manufactured the gears slightly offset on this model so the chain is forced to be at an angle. This means no matter the tension of the chain, the chain WILL come off the gears when riding. My daughter can't even make it down the street without the chain coming off, and with the offset gears, it's impossible for her (or any of us without a chain toolkit) to just put the chain back on and continue riding. Long story short, this bike is designed to fail, and will, usually at the most inopportune of times. ... show more

This was my Christmas present my husband purchased for me. I absolutely love my bike. The details on the bike are beautiful. The pictures do not give it justice. The pictures indicate the bike was red white and blue. The red color is a detail that is actually bubble gum pink. The flowers on the seat, body of the bike are both a beautiful touch. I especially love riding it! Absolutely a smooth ride. My husband said is was not hard to put together. If you are looking for a bike with detail and one well constructed, definitely this one would be a great choice. The back tire keeps popping out from under the rim. We have deflated the tire to push it back in but keeps popping back out. Super disappointing. Otherwise the bike is super cute and described. Bought for my daughters 7th birthday and I have to say I'm a little jealous.

The box was big and intimidating, but the assembly instructions were easy to follow and most of the tools were included. We got Fairmont 20" Girls Cruiser Lavender Quick Connect and you will need a wrench for the pedals. There were some scratches on the fork which was disappointing, but I already assemble it, so I am keeping it as my kid is not going to realize and we can put a sticker over it. The box was full of foam and zip ties, so who knows where the scratch came from. I should have looked closer before assembling it. ... show more
