  • Exceptionally nice 2-in-1 computer
Capacity: 8GB RAM/256GB SSD, Envy
I LOVE this laptop! I purchased it to use for work. The company computer that I use is a little older and is beginning to have some issues with sound. I have recently discovered how to utilize the Google Chrome environment for all my needs and yet still keep work and personal login accounts separate. Having a personal device that I can also use for work has been enormously handy! I have recently discovered the joy of having 2-in-1 devices, so being able to utilize this as both a tablet and a laptop is nice. There is heft to the computer (in part because it has a 15.6 inch screen. But this also means the keyboard has room for a dedicated 10-key numerical keypad. There is a dedicated HDMI port, 2 USB-A 3.1 ports, a USB-C port, an integrated headphone/microphone output, a standard size SD slot, a power port, and a kill switch for the integrated web camera. (This is nice if one has concerns about having the webcam hacked!) The one potential drawback is that the power supply is an HP proprietary barrel adapter. I would have preferred a USB-C power delivery, since that seems to be the trend. (This would have eliminated having to carry an additional power adapter if I ever needed to travel with it.) I can't speak to the battery life, since it is connected to power 99% of the time. The screen is bright, and the speaker system is adequate. (I don't need it to have surround sound with a subwoofer quality; I just needed to hear.) The keyboard is backlit. It does "go to sleep" occasionally, but once I hover my fingers over the keys, the keyboard immediately illuminates. It don't typically use the computer in the dark, and I don't need to see the keys to type; however, a backlit keyboard is a nice feature. Less than a year ago, I purchased another computer on which I spent more than twice as much. It was supposed to have a long battery life (which it didn't). It has only USB-C ports, which I find to be decidedly inconvenient. This computer--though large--is much more suited to my needs and satisfactions. I am not at all disappointed in this laptop. I would purchase it again, if I needed a laptop! ... show more

  • Great computer, wish there was an active pen/stylus though
Capacity: 8GB RAM/256GB SSD, Envy
Great battery life, probably hits around 11 hours before it even hits 20% for me when doing basic schoolwork or even with Microsofr teams running. Computer is great for schoolwork, touchscreen works pretty well. I bought a cheaper pen and it doesn't work so well, but I just bought a higher reviewed one so hopefully that'll work better as my finger works when my current pen doesn't, so I think it's an issue with the pen. I wish this computer had an active pen for it is probably my major complaint. That and as soon as you recieve it go to AMD's website and update drivers or you'll get a problem with your speakers. I messaged the seller about it, or I thought I did, but I don't see it in amazon messages. I think since it's a 3rd party seller the messages go through email if I remember correctly, but I never heard back and had to figure out how to fix it myself. It's a possibility I sent a message the wrong way I guess? Either way, really nice computer for price. Haven't used it for anything other than schoolwork though, so I can't comment on other uses. ... show more

  • Everything I wanted
Capacity: 8GB RAM/256GB SSD, Envy
I've had this laptop for over two years now and I LOVE it. I bought it for grad school and did all of my work with it. It has all the features I was looking for; light up keyboard, good webcam, fast server, clear/sharp screen, ultra thin body, tablet mode is cool and there's great audio. The rubber grip strips came off after like 2 months, but that's not a big deal. The battery lasts like 4-5 hours of straight use (less if using intensive apps like Zoom), not ten like advertised. But it charges pretty fast! The only thing I don't like is that this laptop is HEAVY! Mine didn't come with a stylus pen, so I purchased a separate one on amazon and it works great! I would buy this laptop again. ... show more

  • Almost perfect...
Capacity: 8GB RAM/256GB SSD, Envy
In the few hours that I have been using the Hp Envy x360 (15"), it has been fantastic. It runs super smoothly no matter what tasks I have running, from games to streaming and coding, although I am not doing too much that would kill processing power, and it feels great to use, from touch screen features to pressing keys. However, there are some issues that I noticed almost immediately. The screen is just not bright enough. Although it is usable, it could be significantly brighter. When using it I attempted to raise the brightness, figuring it was set low, only to find out that it was already at max. The computer heats up, not too hot but for the first bit that I have been using it, it has been noticeably warm, warmer than any other laptop that I have owned. _______ I will update if any other issues come to light. ... show more

  • Daily driver
Capacity: 8GB RAM/256GB SSD, Envy
As an IT professional I would say my use of computers is very niche. This laptop scratches all of my itches. It's fast, reliable, and gets the job done. It can game very well for what it is and has plenty of power. My only issue is lack of RAM which is an easy fix. Otherwise this laptop is amazing...it takes alot to impress me..this one does. ... show more

  • Good product for the money
Capacity: 8GB RAM/256GB SSD, Envy
I started using this product for work about 2 months ago. Got it during the Black Friday early bird sale. I needed it to run Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Compared to my old laptop, this one is pretty fast. Touch screen can be helpful when I'm editing images and need to zoom in and out. Sometimes it freezes every once in a while, but i think it's usually because i have way too many tabs open. The other downside is that the battery life drains a little quicker than I thought. If you like your brightness up, you'll only get 4-5 hours of battery life. I just make sure to keep the charger in my bag. I've been happy with this product so far. ... show more

  • Not many problems
Capacity: 8GB RAM/256GB SSD, Envy
Some sound problems but it’s all figured out now. Has been running strong and isn’t slowing down. I’ve had it about a year and a half and use it a ton
