Description

Feed-n-wax wood polish & conditioner is ideal for enhancing the natural depth of grain while providing added protection and luster to furniture, antiques, and cabinets. Feed-n-wax helps introduce conditioning oils that “feed” the wood while providing a protective coating of beeswax and carnauba wax. Feed-n- wax can be used on finished or unfinished wood to help preserve and keep the wood from drying out, fading, or even cracking. Feed-n-wax should be used whenever wood starts to look faded or dry, usually every month or so. Our original blend of beeswax, Brazilian carnauba wax, mineral oil and orange oil is the perfect product to enhance the natural beauty and depth of grain in all woods, finished and unfinished. Feed-n-wax was developed as the best follow-up to Restor-A-Finish for maintaining the newly restored finish. Contains no silicone or linseed oils. Not intended for food-prep surfaces. For food-prep surfaces use Howard butcher block conditioner or cutting board oil.

  • Absolutely amazing
This stuff is so amazing. We moved into a large house that has real hardwood floors that were stained but not sealed. There were grease spots from the previous owner and we realized quickly that ANY food or drink spilled “stained” the wood. They always looked greyish and dusty, it’s a ranch so there is always dirt and dust but they never looked clean! Walking on them barefoot made you feel like moisture was being sucked right out of your body. This floor conditioner was super easy to apply, I used a microfiber flat mop, left overnight (because I knew the floor needed it) and just used a clean microfiber cloth to “buff” off any excess the next morning. I have to do this house in sections because it’s huge and it’s mind blowing seeing what a difference it makes! It brings out the woods natural color, they FINALLY look clean and they feel better to walk on. The pics are of CLEAN floors, but the darker section is a section that I conditioned about three weeks ago. ... show more

  • Great stuff for furniture, but not really for floors without modification
Good stuff, but it's best for furniture and not really for floors without some modification. With all the Howard products, it's a bit difficult to tell exactly what they're for. After using several of them, I think I can offer this advice (and forgive me if you've read this already – I've posted it in both product reviews): - the Orange Oil is primarily a cleaner. It will seep into unfinished or worn wood, but I imagine the luster will fade relatively quickly. - the Feed-N-Wax has some obvious beeswax mixed in (it's thick) and I think it's perfect for waxing furniture. I *don't* think the Feed-N-Wax is a good solution for floors, unless you're prepared to refresh the finish regularly. Beeswax is simply too soft. And it's not really for factory-finished wood floors at all... unless your floors were sanded flat and finished after installation, this is not a good solution for refreshing your finish – you'll want to look for something that's acrylic or polymer-based. That said, I find it puzzling that they promote Feed-N-Wax as a solution for flooring. We *do* use Feed-N-Wax on our floors (traditional oak flooring I layed down and sanded myself), but only after adding some carnauba wax (available here on Amazon). This is a bit tricky – you have to heat the carnauba flakes in a double boiler and then mix them with just enough Orange Oil/Feed-N-Wax to get it to dissolve. You might be surprised how much oil it takes to accomplish this (the carnauba wants to congeal unless enough oil is present). But once done, the wax is much, much more durable. Great for any horizontal surface, and no more slippery than beeswax on the floor. So we ended up buying a gallon of Orange Oil, a gallon of Feed-N-Wax, and a pound of carnauba flakes. We mix them as needed for the purpose at hand. And we're waxing furniture, architectural elements, picture frames... you name it. Everything looks great... it looks way glossy for 24 hours or so until the orange oil evaporates, but the glow or luster that remains (it's not much of a shine and definitely not a gloss) is truly deep and beautiful. Very organic and natural, both in looks and in essence. And it does indeed hide light scratches and add depth to the wood. I might add that it's also very easy to apply and basically foolproof. My wife has begun asking to use it on various furniture, and it can be an enjoyable, relaxing process, unlike a lot of finish/polish materials. Since it's such a soft finish it will need to be reapplied regularly in heavy traffic areas, but since it's a fun process you don't really mind. BTW, the company seems to also be behind the Touch of Oranges and Touch of Beeswax brands – they include promotion material for these products with every box. ... show more

  • Cleaner and polisher especially for antiques
OK I love this product I use it since I’ve had it so far once a month the most important thing to remember is let it sit on there and whatever you do go back with a very clean cloth I used old T-shirts and wipe it down really makes a difference in the way the antiques it looked before as to how they look after using it but you have to wipe it off because if you don’t it becomes sticky please use gloves I did not do it the second time and I had a hangnail and it got kind of infected I don’t have anything bad to say about this product! Another note is I take the one that I’ve used on my furniture to clean it and keep it in a baggie For reusing! I also keep the clean and wipe down cloth in a separate baggie!! And it will be obvious to you as to when to get new cloths! And use them a couple of times About once a month maybe twice a month keep them in separate baggies of course I love the product ... show more

  • Great product.
Much better and longer lasting than liquid polish. Nice deep rich glow that makes the wood grain pop. I even use it on our leather couches. This is my go to polish from now on.

  • Epic Product for Wood Floors
Brought my Antique Chestnut wood floors back to life. Both nurishing and beautiful on my floors. They were super dry and dull and just drink this stuff up. Super easy to spread on with a swiffer and rag and it just soaked in wiped off the excess and the floors are gorgeous.

  • Brings out the beauty of wood
I used another brand with lemon oil on my sink cabinet. The next day, my order of Howard Feed-N-Wax arrived. I put it on half of my cabinet to compare the two sides. I was amazed at how deep and beautiful the wood (on the right) looked after the Feed-N-Wax! I asked my family if they could see a difference and everyone said the right side looked better. I put Feed-N-Wax on my 100+ year old wood handrail and post, antique blanket chest, and dressers. All look beautiful and rich even after days of "soaking in." The lemon oil brand fades after a day and looks mottled on some surfaces. I am SOLD on Howard Feed-N-Wax! It works well, smells great, is easy to use and I can't wait to put it on every other piece of furniture I own! ... show more
