Description

Specialized wood care for butcher blocks, cutting boards, wooden bowls and utensils. The penetrating quality of food grade mineral oil along with the water-resistant traits of beeswax and carnauba wax rejuvenates the wood and prevents drying and cracking. I have bamboo butcher block countertops that are not coated with anything (I didn’t want anything toxic near my food). I use this about once a month and it helps keep my counters looking great and helps keep moisture from being absorbed. Easty to use, no foul smells. Would highly recommend.

    • You can use it as-is out of the bottle and it leaves a nice protective, good looking coat
Hard to say much about wax, but this one just works, and works well. You can use it as-is out of the bottle and it leaves a nice protective, good looking coat. Or, if you have more time and energy, you can pop it in the microwave for a bit to get it nice and warm (1-2 mins, depending on how much is in the bottle... blast in 30sec increments and check it as you go, so you can keep an eye on the temp), then shake vigorously, then lay on a *thick* coat and let it set for a while and -really- soak in, before wiping up what's left. Not sure it makes much difference vs. just using it room temp, but ya' feel like you're doing something more. ; ) I've been using this product for years, and my 10+ y/o butcher block (also bought on Amazon!) looks better than new. Not many things deserve a perfect rating, but I guess this one does. Hope they never change / cheapen the formula! ... show more

This is the best. I use the same brand cleaner once a month and apply this conditioner after. It doesn’t make the wood too dark or sticky. Let it sit overnight and then buff. Then buff again a few hours later. Much better than mineral oil.

Goes on easy with a rag and protects our bamboo utensils. I wish it protected a little longer before leaving the wood completely raw. Using treated utensils (2+ coats) a couple times a week requires the re-treatment of utensils every week or two. Have tried other mineral oil products with similar results.. wish there was a product that lasted longer. ... show more

Our counters were installed years ago, long before we even owned our home...and they needed a little love. The product worked well to shine up the countertops and seal some of the areas that had been worn over time. Our counters really need to be sanded down and redone, but the wax/oil conditioner helped to restore the color and it looks much better, so that can wait for now... I feel much better now that the wood is sealed around the sink as well. The water that splashes onto the wood is repelled and beads up rather than soaking into the wood, which will help with wear. This is the exact product I was looking for, it’s as easy as rubbing it in, and it’s worked just like I needed it to. My plan is to use it every week for now, I rub in a thick layer of wax, and let it soak in over night... I easily wipe any excess Oils, but because the wood needed it so badly, most soaks in over the evening hours before morning. ... show more

This stuff is amazing! I found these wooden folding chairs in an abandoned and dilapidated old church and doubted whether I could get them restored.
