Back in the olden days before the internet was really popular and you could Google search anything, there was trial and error. If you wanted to start a house cleaning business from scratch you could, but it was rarely an overnight success for anybody. Big success was tossed to the cleaning service franchisees who could afford the fancy training, and well- built brands, while the mom and pop cleaning services were left to figure it out on their own. Good news - times have changed. As an independent house cleaner, you no longer have to wade through endless Pinterest boards for tips and ideas on how to start a house cleaning business. Angela Brown built from scratch one of the most successful independently owned and operated house cleaning companies in the Southeastern United States. If you are serious about success in the cleaning service industry, you should sign up for her free tips, tricks and time saving hacks by joining the Savvy Cleaner email list at: savvycleaner.com/tips and you follow her blog at:She has trained a multitude of independent house cleaners how to take their business from day one through expansion and enormous growth. How to bid jobs, what to charge, What kind of car you need, Confidence builders & how to build instant credentials, Bonding, insurance The magic of the Mulligan, How to get an endless stream of referrals, how much you should pay for referral fees, How to never have any billing and collections, and how to always get paid and on time. (There is a reason they call Angela Brown "The House Cleaning Guru".) If you're here because you have an interest in house cleaning or in upgrading your life and you want to start a house cleaning business, welcome. House cleaning business is a 49 billion dollar a year industry that is nearly recession proof - when times get hard, people work more hours to pay the bills, they have less time at home to clean,so they outsource their cleaning - which means more business for you and me. You simply add another customer into your new available time slot and keep going. And you will learn here how to do such an amazing job, that you will never get fired, and your clients will never want you to leave. Franchise or Start a house cleaning business? • Helpful information for cleaning business start-up
Angela outlines the best process to start your cleaning business. Her book is easy to read, informative. However, she leaves alot of information out as she wants you to buy the other training classes. There are several of them & they are $200 each! I tallied it up & if I took all her training classes, I would be spending over 3k. Considering this book gives the reader an overview, I will be researching any additionally needed business guidance elsewhere. ... show more

  • COULDN'T PUT BOOK DOWN, LOVE IT!!
This is a very simple to read book from front to back, 137 pages. I gave it a 5 STAR because she went through all that's important in the business. I used to clean houses back in early 90's for a company I was hired for and even had some referred to me. It was a job I LOVED! Angela did a great job on the book that I started and finished it within 2 days. I felt like she was here with me the whole time, having coffee, as I'm going through the pages. She reminded me about the PASSION I HAD, like her, in the wonderful world of cleaning business. She really does care not only about her clients, but all she helps under her wings. I'm one of her NEW YouTube Subscriber! ** Angela, when is your next book coming out? :D Keep up the great work and thank you soo much for having me. ... show more

  • Don't depend on this book alone! Good overview
I recommend this book for someone who is thinking about starting a cleaning business. If you are already a cleaner/ owner of a cleaning business, chances you are doing as much or more than the book provides with everything from payments, flyers, website, social media, uniforms, marketing, and overall products. The author Angela Brown doesn't talk about a lot of the ideas, especially when talking about marketing, yelp, Facebook, webpages, ads, etc... I think this book was clever for advertising! She leaves a lot out because she wants you to take up her classes and program. I liked her 63 questions, but they are pretty generic, and you can save yourself money by looking them up on her YouTube channel or using google. IF ANYONE needs help learning how to clean use YouTube and hands on, also go join a house cleaning Facebook group preferably a business owner type!... They help out a lot from payments, shared experiences, cleaning etc. Also use YouTube to help design your website, yelp, etc.... They help... Logos from Canva or what you decide on editing. Although, the book has offered some cleaning checklist and flyer templates you can find better ones that fit your business online. The checklist however was every good to transfer to word doc and being easy to edit. I think it is extremely important to have a checklist in order for your clients to know what you have done in their house; it also provides a list for yourself to check off. Angela Brown speaks about her referral system being on word of mouth and sharing her cleaning checklist doubled as an invoice. I think that was a great point but left out that it should provide a QR code because we live in a world of sharing via text, people don't want to have a bunch of papers laying around! more to clean-up! Also saves you to cost of printing out flyers when people share your QR code that way your contact is immediately synced. -Thank you for reading! ... show more
