Especially for the price point, this product is excellent. The sound quality is very good and there are a nice variety of options which sound realistic. My favorite is the soft ocean waves. With the sound and my imagination, I feel like I’m on a quiet beach: my happy place. I really have no idea who would want the dripping faucet! That’s something that once had me out of bed stuffing a washcloth into it. The hush is a bit obnoxious also. The shape of it means it sits stable on my nightstand and the cord swivels so it’s easy to keep it out of the way. It’s also very attractive looking. I use this by my front door of my apartment to cover the sounds of people walking by the door so my dogs don't bark. I had a soundspa that was about 10+ years old and it died recently. I tried a few different ones that were on Amazon and this one was the only one that was loud enough.     • Inconsistent volume

These are great for a diversified sound machine, look fantastic, I don’t have any mechanical issues with them but the products appear to be a bit inconsistent with their volume. I bought 2 of these approximately 6 months apart from one another, and even though they are the exact same machine, one of them is much louder and deeper than the other one. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem as you would only have one machine in a room but I needed two in our large basement living room to help with disturbing our parrots with common household sounds, such as doors closing, people walking over “creaky” parts of the stairs, dogs barking, etc. I noticed that the first machine that I received is much louder and deeper, which is perfect on white noise for masking those sounds, but the second that I received doesn’t have that same loud resonance on the same exact settings/volume. It will do but it’s just bothersome to be in the middle of the room and have what sounds like a competing noise from one side of the room. My birds don’t seem to be affected by it but I do have to be much more quiet on one side of the room than the other in the early mornings to avoid disturbing them and waking them up. It will work for now but I think that I will upgrade to the more pricey option that I have in my bedroom if either of these gives out. ... show more

    • Great Sound Machine for pink/brown/red noise

I wanted a sound machine that had both brown/red noise and pink noise. Brown noise uses deep frequencies like thunder, crashing waves, heavy rainfall, running water. Pink noise is lower frequency sounds like rushing water, rustling trees, ocean waves, steady light rain, heart beat. White noise is both low and high frequencies together like fans, A/C, vacuums. This device has a few of both brown/red and pink sounds which is why I chose it. The only thing I dislike is that it doesn't show a volume level so its hard to know which volume a certain sound is on when I find the volume I like. It will save that particular setting until I change it and then have to start over with a new sound and volume level for that sound. ... show more
