  • Scam product
Color: Original version
Buyer beware! I have purchased this twice. The first time I received the product pictured; a cloudy white, almost porous looking tape that went on well, stuck as it should while I stitched, and washed away cleanly with just a simple soaking. The center roll it was on was plastic. The second time I purchased it, it came on a cardboard roll that was covered in Asian lettering. The product was clear, more "firm"/less flexible, more sticky, and not porous. It gums up needles very quickly, but more importantly, it DOES NOT WASH AWAY from your sewn garments. My project is pretty much ruined, as you can see the sticky tape along the hems if the seams weren't perfect. Very frustrating, and the seller will not refund my money after several messages. Luckily, Amazon has amazing customer service. So, long story short, buy a different product from a seller who doesn't try to sell things not pictured! ... show more

  • Do not buy!!
Color: Original version
Wish I could give it a 0 star. Not as described. Mine gums up my machine and is not like the wash away tape I always got from a different company. This one has Asian writing all over the cardboard which I wouldn’t care if it worked. It doesn’t. And of course it’s not refundable. Now off to buy the real deal. ... show more

  • Sticks where you want it!
Color: Original version
I love this product! I enjoy sewing in my free time and ordered this tape to help keep my hems in place. I got 2 rolls of tape each 22 yards of 1/4 inch tape. I can tell you that for this picture I had to move the tape not once but three times before I finally secured my top hem over it. I am really pleased at the fact that the adhesive stayed sticky even after moving it around. The peel of tape came off easily and I did not have to fight with it to get the peel away backing started. I can't praise this item enough, it fastens nicely and washes away cleanly. I real bargain for seamstresses and quilters alike! Definitely a keeper and will be ordering more! ... show more

  • What one would expect
Color: Original version
It's sticky tape - double sided. It's only a quarter inch. The paper backing is hard to snap apart. But the product works. When your fingers get glue residue, the stuff really gets sticky. But no - the glue did not stick to my sewing machine needle. Yes, I tried both ironing and not ironing. I was using a very light fabric. Altering a shower curtain, made of mildew resistant material. Major brand. Glue stick worked better but took longer. My seam with a glue stick looked like factory. The seam with the tape, was a bit too wide. May have been better to use 1/2 inch and not 1/4 inch. Will look for 3/8 inch. But if you are using this for cotton and not pressing with an iron, but just finger pressing, get an iron. This is for tricky material that takes low heat, can't fold or crease well, and helps not having to pin or clip. I still used clips. The better seam with glue, I used pins. So who knows. But it works. Sticky. But it is only a quarter inch wide. And the paper is hard to rip. If the strip you are trying to use twists, good luck ;) ... show more

  • Excellent
Color: Original version
Twice the amount at half the price of the better known named brand. I haven't washed anything yet but did do a test piece to make sure it rinsed out with water. It did. I almost think it's even easier to peel off the protective layer on this generic brand than it is on the wonder tape. What's not to love? ... show more

  • It could be wonderful.
Color: Original version
This is tape does exactly what it says. I was trying to sew knit fabric. The tape kept it from bunching up and I didn't have to use pens. My machine sews right through it, didn't gum up the needle and it completely washed away. I would have very easily given this 5 stars but the product packaging is horrible. While the outside packaging was wonderful, the actual rolls were smashed. Another issue is that the actual tape switches sides and isn't all on the same side of the paper. That's my biggest complaint and the only problem that isn't really cosmetic. I can still use it but where that tape is on the outside of the paper/roll now, it sticks to everything and is waistful. ... show more

  • Good overall - great adhesion
Color: Original version
Used this to attach a home made skylight shade onto the skylight trim. I was planning to use staples to hold it in place but the adhesive is much better than expected. I put up one side onto the trim and let it set for a day. I cleaned it with alcohol wipes before I put it up. The second side I put on the pvc wood trim i made the shade frame out of. Again, letting it set for several hours before doing anything with it. I've used it twice and no sign of anything coming apart. One word of caution, the vecro part of the tape is about 1/2 inch wide, but the actual tape is around 3/4 inch. I.E, the vecro doesn't go all the way to the side. This wasn't great, but it still worked. That's why 4 stars not 5. ... show more

  • Rolled up inside out! No good.
Color: Original version
This product was a waste of money for all the reasons already listed...it does not stick well, it has a strong odor, etc. what is a total waste, however, is that it came in 2 rolls. The second rolls was wound on backwards, so that th adhesive side was up and the protective tape was down. This means that every time I touch the stuff, it reduces the already questionable adhesion. Unrolling it from the roll lessens the adhesion because the sticky side is exposed. The good roll has one adhesive side protected by the paper, and the other adhesive side rolled onto the protective paper so that when it is applie is the first time it is touched, that roll sticks a little better ... show more
