This electric wine opener is sleek, beautiful, and easy to work with. There is very little vibration and works very smoothly. It is definitely a step above the basic handheld wine openers. I don't drink wine all the time so having to replace batteries is not a problem for me.

Easy to use wine bottle opener. Just load up with AA batteries and you are good to go! Strong motor to extract corks and very easy to discard the cork once your bottle is opened. All you have to do is push two buttons. I did have an issue about 3 weeks after purchasing. It would stop when trying to open a bottle, so I took a star off for long term device reliability concern. This is a tough review -- it looks great as this company has super design. It isn't as strong as others and wish it was rechargeable. It's a matter of design over function. My overall recommendation is good - just not the best.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this wine bottle opener hoping it could replace my 8-year old rechargeable wine bottle opener who's batteries have finally begun to get old and tired. I was surprised that this wine bottle opener is not rechargeable. Luckily, I had 4 AA batteries so I gave it a whirl. The included foil cutter works very well and is a very nice touch. I love that it is attached to the wine bottle opener so it doesn't get lost. When in use, the motor of this bottle opener does sound as though it is struggling, but it removes the cork quickly, cleanly, and easily. Some electric bottle openers destroy the cork and leave little flakes of cork inside the bottle, but this one did not damage the cork and my wine was thankfully completely free of any debris from the cork. The cork return feature is also very clean and quick. I video taped myself opening the bottle, and had to video tape with one hand and try to open the bottle with the other, so it is not a perfect video. I hope it still provides a good example of how it works. Overall, I am very pleased with this wine bottle opener. I hope the batteries won't need to be replaced often, and I hope this company eventually makes a wine bottle opener that offers a rechargeable battery in the future. ... show more

After 10+ years, my rabbit ear manual opener finally began to wear out, so I took the opportunity to upgrade to this battery-operated opener. The opener arrived in a nice, retail box suitable to gifting. The opener itself is attractive; with a matte black/gray finish over the top half where the controls, electronics and battery are and a clear, smoked area on the bottom. The matte finish also serves to enhance the grip and provides a premium appearance vs. a shiny, plastic finish. The branding and logo are minimal and tasteful. The foil cutter integrates into the bottom of the opener and serves to protect the corkscrew and safely store. The cutter is simply to remove and re-store and easily cuts around the entire foil cap with half a twist. The cutter whipped through cork removal like it was butter. So much so that you don’t even feel the cork pop from the bottle. The 10 second claim is accurate as the first test removed a cork in less than that. Removing the cork from the screw is equally simple. Press the “eject” button and the screw quickly reverses and spits out the cork in a matter of seconds. I was going to post a video, but honestly, the video in the seller description is accurate, so nothing additional was needed. It’s not overly loud, nor is it whisper quiet. It has the sound that you’d expect of a small electric motor. Overall, this is an outstanding replacement to my weathered, manual opener. ... show more

Works well, but the need for batteries is annoying. I have quite a few other hoto products, they all have rechargeable batteries. It doesn't seem like it would be too hard for them to use one on this product.
