  • Paint Sprayer
Good for small projects. I’m a beginner so it did the trick. Don’t think the battery would last long enough to do a room.

  • Such a lifesaver
I already have a paint sprayer that is like this one but it's corded and the cord constantly having to be moved and hooked into a different outlet as I work gets annoying. So when I saw this come up on the vine, I grabbed it to try it out. My sister and I are constantly doing DIY projects and we will randomly get the bright idea to paint something so I figured this would be easier to deal with since it is battery powered. It lasted almost two hours on a full charge and the paint sprayed out perfectly fine. It was weird using it without a cord trailing behind us and tripping us constantly but I call that a win. Nobody broke an ankle haha! If you like the wagner from walmart then you will love this one because it is just like it minus a power cord and instead having a rechargeable battery. It also doesn't take long to charge the battery back up once it has died either. Overall, it's a pretty good product. ... show more

  • So wanted and needed this!
Hoteche Cordless Paint Sprayer is the way to paint! Always wanted a cordless sprayer and needed it for many projects where typical corded sprayers become a hassle as you move around. In a nutshell: -Shipped fast. -Packaged nicely and well organized for quick /easy setup -Sprays a fine mist. -Great nozzle adjustments: Vertical, Horizontal and circular -Able to spray ceilings ( upside down). -Rechargeable battery lasted just over an hour ( wish there were 2 batteries) -Charge time just under 2 hours. -Easy to take apart/clean unit. Bottomline: Recommended for its low price, great performance and satisfying results! ... show more

  • After high hopes, this Paint Sprayer misses the mark. Short battery life, only 1 nozzle,
I was about to dig out my 25 year old corded paint sprayer to see if it still worked when I ran across this battery powered one. When I read through the details I followed the link to the Hoteche products page and found that they make a line of hand tools similar to Ryobi, Black & Decker, Porter Cable, etc so I figured I would give this a try since it comes with a small battery (2 amp) and a charger. When I first received the unit I was impressed with the it from a “blink” first reaction. It came partially charged but I plugged it in and let it charge overnight. There is a red LED that goes on when it I charging and turns green when fully charged. There is also a charge level indicator on the battery itself. I have quite a few painting projects in front of me so I was anxious to give this a shot! Unfortunately, things did not go well. Test 1 results - plain water: The first test I ran was with plain water over our kitchen sink just to get a feel for it and to rule out any DOA issues. I pressed the power rocker switch on the top of the sprayer (which is protected by a plastic cover to keep liquid out and I was surprised that the sprayer started spraying air out of the nozzle. It is not too loud but it is not quiet and I jumped at first - I was expected it to start when I pulled the trigger. I put in a cup or so of water and started to spray into the sink. At first, it was erratic until I opened up the paint container and moved the pickup hose to the forward position since I was spraying while tilted forward and down. I tried again and it started to spray in a normal pattern, however it was intermittent and would spray for 2-3 seconds then stop for a fraction of a second or so and then resume. I was worried that this would hurt uniformity of actual paint results. But, after adjusting the trigger in and out a couple times, then taking apart the nozzle and reassembling it I was able to get a perfect spray after that. Rotating the nozzle is easy and results in 3 different patterns for spraying back and forth, up and down or in a more directed circular patten. Move the pickup nozzle forward or backwards to help spraying down or up. So, at this point I felt it was ready for a real test. The second test with real paint was challenging, so I was allowing some latitude for that (Kilz2 primer to spray a garage wall with new drywall) but I was anxious to see what would happen. I read quite a few articles on how to dilute Kilz and there are lots of opinions as to how well it works with a sprayer, so I’m taking that into account. I starting with the paint diluted to a thin syrup texture that flows easily. I filtered the Kilz into a separate mixing bucket before putting it in the sprayer. Test 2 results - Kilz 2 Primer: Spray pattern was a bit granular - best result with dial all the way to trigger (most pressure). Best coat about 6-8 inches from surface. Shifting nozzle from horizontal to vertical worked fine. Battery lasted long enough to put 1 coats (bare minimum needed for diluted Kilz2) on a single 4ft x 8ft drywall panel - ~15 minutes?? 15 minutes is a LONG time for 2 passes over a single 4x8’ drywall panel. I’m going to recharge overnight and time it for more precise result. Cleaning - I tried to clean every piece possible / accessible right after use. There are only 3-4 pieces that come off of the main unit - the plastic spray pattern adjuster, the outer nozzle, the paint uptake tube, the gasket for the paint container, the sprayer and the paint container. At this point I realized that there were no cleanup tools included - not even a small paperclip to clean the nozzle. Overall, not too bad, but the nozzle hard to clean Next day - with a fully charged battery I started again. The battery lasted slightly more than 16 minutes. I was able to paint one more panel about 80%. The spray was spotty at first until I took the nozzle apart and used a paperclip to clean out the nozzle better. Hold the trigger while you do that if you wind up with one of these. I had trouble the night before getting the battery charge (red light instead of green). Same issue this time, but after getting one partial charge in and the next charge it failed completely. I could not find any other Hoteche batteries on Amazon or anywhere so plan on being stuck with a single 2ah 20v battery and 15 useful minutes of light spray - less spray than I expect from a good can of spray paint. There is only one nozzle - so you cant change that. Conclusion: Sprayer performance and overall usefulness - fair to poor Battery life - poor (battery powered was the key differentiation over much better $30 corded sprayers. This battery and charger are poor and there is no apparent replacement or upgrade path) Versatility - fair, only 1 nozzle Effectiveness - fair to poor if you are doing serious painting. This spray gun would be OK for very small projects, but at the $50-$60 price range this is not a good value. ... show more

  • Worked great
I did my whole (small) basement on one charge with this thing. Sprayed evenly and didn’t clog in me. Super simple to use, I didn’t even need the instructions. Easy cleanup and made my entire project go by so much faster than hand painting.
