  • Works great!
Very easy to use, heats up really quickly, my hair holds the curl really well!

  • Great tool
It was a birthday gift for my granddaughter and she loves it.

  • TINY curls
I really underestimated how small these curls would be. It would take me forever to use this on myself. Great for a little girls hair or curling small amounts of hair.

  • Terrible
I bought this item twice, both times it is the wrong iron. It has a flat edge- not at all like description. It needs to be a round barrel not flat. Also the second iron that came in, looked used, its box was gross with smears of liquid on it. To make it worse, return costs were on me.

  • 🙅🏽♀️ ITS NOT ROUND but.... For ETHNIC HAIR??? 👱🏾♀️
I thought all curling irons were the same but this one is definitely top tier. For my ethnic, 4c-ish hair, this iron glides on my hair and actually helps my hair maintain a curl. This barrel size is perfect for my hair length (shoulder-length), it's lightweight and easy to hold. In short, this one is a winner. THE BARRELL: This is NOT a round barrel, it is a rounded rectangular shape. The outside is round but the inside is flat. I actually wanted a round barrel and when I received this, I felt tricked. But once I used it, the rounded rectangular design helped my hair stay in place better without pulling. It does NOT make the curl square, it still looks like a rounded curl. I feel this design is better because it helps the hair stay separated and gives it even heat (unlike overlapping your hair on a round barrel to help it stay in place). There isn't a barrel clip so you use the included heat protector glove to assist with curling. THE TEMPERATURE: This thing heats up within seconds, it's super quick. This is a plus for the "in a rush all the time" people (like myself). It makes styling your hair convenient since your not waiting for it to heat up and it stays hot the entire time (even with heat protectants on). I only have to leave this on my hair for a few seconds (less than a minute) for a curl to form and stay. It has different levels of heat on a turn-dial (up to 455 degrees). CURL CONSISTENCY: Every curl came out almost the same. The heat of the iron stays hot and even so the curls will be identical if you curl it the same way every time. You want the handle position “upside-down” so that the handle is facing toward the sky. This is very important because if you do it the "normal" way you will make your curls upside down (meaning you have to create a twist to turn your curl around, which will look weird). This is a clipless curling iron so the "upside-down" position is its normal position. ON/OFF SWITCH: The power switch is separate from the heat dial with a simple on/off switch. GLOVE: This glove this comes with is very stretchy and fits my long fingers. This is a good quality glove (not like cheap winter gloves) that you will actually use. THE CORD: It is really nice long length, 9 feet long! I can plug this into the wall and still have the length to be able to move around. I would recommend this iron, it's now my new favorite curling iron for my natural hair (and wigs too). I literally will be giving my other curling irons away. Those were okay, some were just as or more expensive, but still had heating issues that this iron doesn't have. This curling iron is built to last . This is the best curling iron I have owned and will be the only one I keep. I would try this one, I hope this helps :) ... show more

  • For use on kanekalon hair
So I have synthetic braids that are high heat resistant. We all know how hard it is to curl kanekaleon hair. But you can’t find these colors with any other types of hair ( My hair is lavender smoke - a light purple - and glow in the dark) I can always straighten it fine with a flat iron. But curling it is another story. That’s where this hot tools curling wand comes in. I haven’t been able to produce a tight curl as of yet but I am able to get a nice wavy effect which is better than nothing. As you can see the temperature goes ridiculously high... I mean you wouldn’t roast potatoes at some of these temperatures. I recommend spritzing kanekalon hair with water before curling and use some kind of spray to hold the curls because otherwise they fall and you will lose your curls. As you can see in my pic my optimum temperature was 350. That was enough to make it wavy without melting my hair. Not to say I didn’t get curious. I did try turning it all the way up and low and behold some of my hair melted. So I wouldn’t go past 350 but test it at the bottom of a strand. So I would spray my hair, brush it, take about a half inch to an inch across strand of hair and tightly coil it around the wand. I would wait 20-30 seconds and then unwind to give me some really pretty wavy curls. Some features I liked about this curling wand is the swivel cord makes it very easy to work with. The on off button is easy to click and within reach with the side of your finger. The temperature gauge is easy to use and read. The arm is moveable so it holds the wand to prevent it from burning anything you set it on. And it comes with some (not totally) heat resistant gloves. Which are so useful I use it with my flat iron too. Nothing worse that having to hold piping hot flat ironed hair. The two things which I think could be improved are the instructions and the website. The instructions just pretty much tell you what not to do. I’m not sure I understand what the light means when it’s steady or blinking. At first I thought the blinking might mean it’s heating up and then a steady light means it’s reached your selected temperature but it never blinks for long and I doubt it heats up that quickly. On the box it says to go to their website for tricks and tips but I only saw products and no helpful information I could use. But otherwise this is a great curling wand to have whether you have natural or synthetic hair. When my braids are gone I will continue to use this for sure! ... show more
