Not a huge problem, but when programming with Arduino, make sure to select “Tools -> Processor -> Old bootloader” otherwise the upload will fail. If you have an Arduino uno laying around you can use it to flash a new boot loader to avoid confusion in future projects.     • Packaged nicely, sure, but my computer can't communicate with it -- EXCEPT WAIT, HOLD ON.
Sure, they came packed nicely, so I had fair hopes that they'd work. I plugged them in and sure enough, as others had said, the boards came with Blink pre-installed. So, next I tried to configure it so I could boot something else onto it. I set the board to Arduino Nano, the bootloader to the new one, BUT the port came back with nothing. Yesterday, I had a similar problem as I tried to use my Arduino Leonardo with a micro USB (since that's how it interfaces) but the cable had been charge only. I changed the cable to another one and "voila", it worked. That said, I don't know if the problem is with the board, the cable... or so I thought. (bc I just NOW figured it out) SOLUTION: Some troubleshooting later, I've discovered that they do properly function, it's just I didn't have the drivers to run it, so the port didn't show. As the description mentions, this uses the CH340 chip, so you'll need the CH340 driver. You'll probably find it on some Chinese website. I found it on "wch.cn" (That's the website). Just type in CH340 in the search bar and you find it under drivers. Since the site is in Chinese, make sure to TRANSLATE THE PAGE FOR THE YOUR OWN SANITY. Otherwise, I'm very pleased. Will order again. :> P.S. I do however wish they added a card in the box that mentioned the potential driver issue. ... show more

Contrary to the other reviews for this product - I am satisfied. I can confirm that with the CH340 driver installed, with the board Arduino Nano selected, and the processor ATMega328P selected, I can upload to all three of the boards I received. Soldering looks good, headers are strait. No complaints except needing the CH340 driver, although anyone who thinks they are competent enough to code Arduinos should be able to download and install a bit of software on the internet. ... show more

I had purchased some Emakefun Nanos recently and I could not get any of the 5 units working with any script. Worked at them for days no luck. I purchased the Hosyonds with skepticism. They worked like a charm. Tried to use the Hosyond to copy the bootloader to the non functional Emakefun no luck. I will purchase Hosyond from now on. ... show more

I too got these with the $4 discount making the $3 a piece with included cables and header pins already soldered onto the board making the ready for your breadboard. I tested all 3 by uploading a sketch to each. All 3 worked. These are a super value!
