If you drop these, they can shatter. I bought this set and it came broken and oozing everywhere. So while I have a second set and was refunded, make sure you understand these are more delicate than regular plastic wine glasses. If they do break, they ooze and make a real mess. I don't actually use these as wine glasses. My children (6, 9, 11) like to drink their milk VERY cold and we use these cups for that.
