I absolutely love these flutes. I debated forever between these and the more squarish ones by the same seller, but I am very happy with the slightly tapered ones I ended up purchasing. I was nervous that they might be broken upon receipt, as I know firsthand how often and easily glass breaks during shipping & handling - but thankfully every single one was intact! They feel really nice in hand, and although they probably could break very easily if care isn’t taken, I think these will last. I probably would only hand wash. I was in the market to replace my aging Riedel Cabernet glasses, but I really wanted a more modern design. I was willing to pay for what I wanted, but of course I'd prefer to be frugal. I loved these Elixir red wine glasses from the start. After reading the reviews (and just skimming the 5- and 1-star reviews), I became concerned that they might be too fragile. However, given the price I took the plunge and placed my order for 4. After 6 months of usage I still have my original 4 glasses, even though I've inadvertently "dinged" them a bit several times. Certainly I haven't seen an issue with fragility, and if someone thinks they are too "thin" then they don't know what a nice wine glass feels like. All of my glasses are well-constructed and lack any bubbles mentioned in some reviews. I much prefer the look and feel of these glasses and trot them out for company ahead of my Riedels. Once I break one more Reidel I'll be placing an order for another 4 Elixirs! ... show more
