I like that this hay ball is made of a soft silicone and not a hard material. My gelding will make great effort to get every piece of hay. He had created a grove in his front teeth from my barrel slow feeder. I use this one only for extra activity and it works as expected.

Very happy with this! My new, young horse loved it during his quarantine period. I’ve also started using using it as I teach him to tie. So far it seems tough and durable, and it’s served its purpose. A bit pricey for what it is, but if it works for him, then it’s well worth it! Note- I didn’t see him play with it at first so I thought it was a moot point, but when he’s alone he plays with it, because all the hay is gone! I love this hay ball. It is perfect for my horse that gets bored easily. He loves it. However I did have to send my first one back because of of the holes ripped the first time I used it. I think it was just the defect of that one because the replacement one they sent has been great. I’ve had it for a couple of months now and really like it. It’s also a lot cheaper on Amazon. I’ve seen it sold for over 30 dollars at some of the local feed stores. Overall, I would recommend this for any horse. ... show more

    • Why aren't these bigger?
I really hope Jolly Ball reads reviews, cause this is a great product, but needs to be bigger. My husband has large hands and it's difficult for him to stuff, AND it would be even better if it was a larger size to hold more hay. My horse has limited hay available to her due to metabolic issues and it's a great product to slow her down and keep it fun. When given the choice, she actually goes to this ball to pick out the hay before eating the rest of her hay that is free choice in the manger. That truly surprised me. So now I'm buying three more to put around the stall. They are very durable and worth the money if my horse enjoys using them. ... show more
