Best powdered cheese ever!

I love this cheese we order it every few months. It makes the best sharp cheddar we have ever had. It gets wonderfully creamy and isn't loaded which fake flavors and chemicals. If you like a cheddar with bite you'll love this.

Some reviwers didn't like the taste. I do. It comes in a plastic jar that can be tightly resealed (that's important). It tastes & looks like cheese, is not too salty and elevates my microwave popcorn to a new level.

This cheese powder has great flavor when making mac n cheese or topping my popcorn. It does seem to take more powder to taste as opposed to some other brands. Overall, I will purchase again.

This is the best cheese powder for quick Mac & Cheese. If you have kids and want a really quick meal with very little cleanup, look no further. I make elbow macaroni ahead of time and keep it in the fridge since that takes the most prep time. Here's how I make it using 4 cups precooked elbow macaroni
: in small bowl, 6 tablespoons Hoosier Hill cheese powder with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, 1 teaspoon grated parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt (optional so feel free to leave out or sub for what you like to add some flavor). Blend together with a fork. In a pot melt a few tablespoons butter, then add 6 tablespoons milk and stir together. Add dry ingredients and blend well. Add macaroni (if they're cold, warm in microwave first) and blend together. Be creative - the cheese powder is an excellent base, the milk and butter smooth it out, and the cornstarch (or thickener of your choice) helps it coat the mac.

Don’t expect a Kraft flavor

Honestly, I didn’t care for the taste of this. I could taste the cheese, but also had a bit of old flavor to it. Like a cheese that sat in a refrigerator too long, or musty warehouse. I’m sure with a little creativity a good cook could make this sauce sing though
