I am NOT a baker and we decided to host a cookie decorating party for our friends and kids. I wanted fool proof frosting, so I decided on mixes instead of making from scratch. This turned out super great. Only reason for the 4 stars is I found that the amount of water needed did was not correct. After adding more than suggested, I tasted it and it had an off flavor and was too stiff still. So I looked up how to soften buttercream and found the suggestion of adding milk. So I did that and it turned out perfect!! So highly recommend adding milk to the mix. I would also probably recommend adding food coloring in the mixer while mixing. When I did it after the fact, it flattened the buttercream some. This could be my ignorance on buttercream in general though and not anything to do with the product. So easy to put on and work with. Not like store bought. Pay an extra price...but tastes great! Family loves it. Covered a large 10 inch cake. Had extra. Refrigerated extra and used for another cup cake project a few weeks later.

This is a chemical product like lard that you add butter to. It's not a powder. Mostly lard..Make icing yourself with a buttercream recipe. This tastes like motor oil. Nothing you do can get the taste out. It's awful.
