Sits nice & low so she can get on and off pretty easily but we also put a thinner 8 in firm mattress on it for her safety. we did not use a box spring . Perfect bed to grown with her . I love the velvet. depth of color changes throughout the day/ lighting which adds more character to the bedroom. The bed was package nicely and to some extent easy to put together. The parts don't have labels on them so I had to go by the pictures on the instruction sheet. Cons: I don't like that there is a extra charge for delivery and the furniture don't feel as sturdy but I guess time will tell. Other than that it's a very beautiful bed frame! ... show more
