And unless you’re ultra disciplined about folding and putting away, they’re not always empty when you need them to be. I now have a few of these on a hook in the laundry room so even if someone is being slow in folding we’ve always got a clean place to put laundry when someone needs the dryer. i live in a very small house, and really like these baskets that fold up into a small disk for storage - i've had similar baskets for well over 10 years that are finally wearing out. this basket feels quite sturdy and substantial in spite of its light weight, and it easily holds a full load of laundry, without sagging. i knocked off one star because it's hard to fold - the basket is quite stiff and it's difficult to get it small enough to get the strap around it. the strap is so tight when closed that i am concerned about it ripping out. hopefully it will stretch a bit (and not tear!) over time. if it continues to hold up well i'll be ordering a couple more - very pleased to far. ... show more

I was looking for a laundry basket that would make it easier to pull laundry out of the dryer without all my clean clothes falling onto the ground, and this derivers. It's optimally shaped to be about as wide as my building's dryer opening is, and is SO much easier to deal with than my old sack-style bag.
