I took a rewired, rebuilt Singer 31-15 and converted the treadle by locking it in activate position and splicing in a male head on the motor and the light I put on it. Works much better to control the speed and control of the machine - this machine does 1100spm at top speed. The pedal was just a thought - and it worked like a charm. This arrived quickly and was easy to install. It is made of plastic instead of metal (as the original was), but seems pretty sturdy. It works as it should.

I got this to replace a knee-operated pedal on my Montgomery Wards 70's era sewing machine (in fold-in sewing table). It works perfectly, and now I can change sitting positions when I need to for various tasks! Seems very sturdy, and works smoothly.

    • Fits a White 1066
It does fit my vintage White 1066 sewing machine. The power block snaps into it's space in the case on my machine easily. It works the way I assumed it would. I took off a star because its fastest speed on the foot pedal is slower than I know my machine is capable of (I had the original foot before it started sparking). It does have a variable speed, so no jumping to the highest speed possible upon pressing it, making controlling it that much easier. The foot pedal itself is made of plastic, and probably wont hold up to the abuse of hard floors. And it takes away from the vintage feel of the machine itself, which is all metal. The price was $5 cheaper than the metal pedal with one speed (and from the reviews on that, the metal one's speed is fast) and I was hoping that with such a small price difference, it would go a bit faster. Would I buy it again, should I need to? Probably not. I'll probably go with the one speed that can hit my machine motor's maximum, and has a metal pedal that was quite honestly really close to the original. ... show more
