  • This thing is a beast!
This is a pretty large snow blower so not for everyone. The tracks never slip! I live on the hipline in norther Montana so we get some serious snow at times. This thing does about 32" per pass so it makes quick work of my larger half circle driveway.

  • Just get it It’s a Honda
Built like a tank you won’t be disappointed with this . The quality in this snow blower is just amazing. Gx engine will never let you down. I have 2 power washers and a generator with the gx390 engines. My first power washer has 18 years of service not one problem. 1 pull and it’s running all day. As far as the snow blower it’s a beast very easy to move around for something this size . Adjustment of scrapper bar is easy. Put 2 paint sticks on the left side and 2 on the right on top of each other. That will give you a quarter inch of clearance. If you just use one on each side you get an 1/8. Then you rest your scrapper bar on top of them. Get a pair of skid shoes for the front side . I will recommended armor skid shoes 65 dollars. They built it like an armor tank. Install your shoes once you have your machine rested on the paint sticks. You can even use quarters for this it’s easy no brainer If you don’t have paint sticks. If you have a ruff drive way then you should adjust it for an inch instead of 1/8 or 1/4. Use you judgement on clearance. ... show more

  • Adjust Scraper and Skids before use.
This is meant to be a cautionary tale to serve as a warning for new owners. I had to use this snowblower the day it showed up and figured one run would not hurt. Factory adjustment of the Skids and Scraper drug my auger across the ground my first pass. Not even 1 hour old and I had a ground down auger and filed down skid. Not anyones fault but mine I guess, but I wish I could have used it once without damage due to poor or no adjustment from factory. So dont do what I did and please adjust it, I would even suggest that you install the optional front bucket skids because I needed them. Now the GOOD: 1. Snowblower will throw snow where you need it as far as you need it. 2. Electric start is amazing. 3. It has great traction on incline, no slipping (I have a steep driveway). 4. Headlight is bright. Now the BAD: 1. Snowblower hates going down a hill (decline), bucks around like a bull slamming the front into the ground damaging auger and shroud. I even adjusted the skids all the way down so nothing is even close to touching the ground and it still does it. Something to do with the tracks or maybe hydrostatic transmission, I can't figure it out. 2. No hand warmers. ... show more

  • There’s Honda, then there’s everyone else
One of the smartest things I’ve ever purchased just finished clearing a huge yard after a 3 foot dump, then pivoted over to help my neighbors who don’t have Hondas I will never buy another company’s snowblower again

  • Honda fixed the clogging issue, machine is excellent.
Machine is a beast and has some nice features my 13 year old Ariens did not have. They also fixed the clogging chute issue in machines manufactured after September 2018. They will replace the chute for those who bought their unit before that date for free. This thing is the best snowblower made for the price and size. ... show more

  • Piece of crap -- and Honda won't help you with it!
I spent a fortune last January (2018) on a brand new Honda HSS1332A snowblower -- and have used it on our NH driveway about a dozen times since. Imagine my surprise when, a couple of weeks ago, I started it up after a snowfall of 10 inches or so and found it wasn't "driving straight." I investigated, and found that the metal of the auger housing just behind the scraper bar had both badly rusted and -- shocking! -- curled back, therefore compromising the forward movement of the machine. I called the dealer where I had purchased the machine, and -- even after I sent photographs of the damage (see above) -- was told, summarily, "Sorry, but we can't help you." Now it seems I have to find a VERY SMART welder who can conceive a solution. Would I buy this machine again, you wonder? Not on your life -- or mine. I hate cheapness in any form -- but on a snowblower as expensive and reputable as this one, it's practically a crime. ... show more
