As mentioned in other reviews the bin itself is of moderate durability but the lid is extremely flimsy, though it did not arrive broken as some reported. I still purchased this bin despite my concerns as it is relatively tall for its size compared to other options. For example it can hold a roll of paper towels upright inside, which a lot of smaller plastic bins cannot. Overall this worked for me but because of the flimsy lid you would not want to use it for heavy items or stack another one on top! ... show more

This is a basic, sturdy bin with an easy snap-close lid. I use mine to hold kitty litter and a scoop for ease of filling a self-cleaning litter box whose opening is too awkward to pour the litter directly from the carton.

Ok it is plastic but quite thin. The size was perfect but the lid is really flimsy and I used tape to secure inside items (taping lid to base). Not worth sending back as it is ok but just ok.
