This 5-Tier Industrial Bookcase is really more of a 5 tiered shelf than a bookcase. Even the display picture uses decorative items instead of books to place on the shelf, I think it’s also well looking with some book decorating, it quick delivery and definitely well priced. You can often tell the quality of a product by its packaging, this bookcase is packaged attractively and superbly.The shelf is made of steel tubing and retro brown industry wood grain finished particle board materials It's easy and quick to put together. Tools are included. This shelf matches the seller companies other shelves and stands and they look nice together. Good storage solutions.This is a simple yet classic piece. It will work in many situations, including a dorm room for students. We could use a smaller shelf by the same design in our bathroom or put into my husband’s office room. This one's final resting place is undetermined. So far – the office room would be a suitable place. (See picture).I like the shelf and it looks better quality than it really is, for the materials used. If you have an empty space to fill, this may be a good filler piece for you to try. The color of the shelves are more of an ashe wood tone vs the warm color that appears in the product photo. The 'wood' is a fairly good design, not super cheap looking if it is placed in the right area of your home and is not a central focus. Good deal for the $$. We recently moved out of a home with built in book shelves in the living room, so I found myself needing to add to my furniture collection. While this shelf was a little pricier than I would normally buy, I wanted to make sure I got something that was high quality - durable, yet aesthetically pleasing. Most importantly, it needed to match the other furniture my partner had picked out for the living room. I got all of that with this shelf. The photos are really accurate, so the piece fits in nicely with the rest of the things in the room. The shelf is very sturdy, especially if you use the included wall brackets as recommended by the manufacturer. As chief engineer in our house, I found assembly to be very easy as long as you follow the instructions and wait until the end to tighten all of the bolts. From start to finish, I don't think it took me more than half an hour to put it together, only needing assistance from my partner to lift the box and move the assembled shelf into place. There's plenty of room for all of my books, plus a few other knick-knacks and curiosities. Keep in mind, though, that you will likely need book ends or other heavy objects to keep your paperbacks from tipping over. My absent minded self didn't consider this, but I ended up being able to improvise with some larger pieces from my rock collection and a couple small plants. ... show more
