    • Powerful but limited integrations
I’ve been wanting to get a homey ever since I first saw it in 2019 but they were limited to EU. The homey pro allowed me to replace multiple hubs and gives me very nice advanced abilities with a nice ui without 100s of lines of yaml code like HA. That said the integration claims are way over exaggerated and there isn’t a strong marketplace yet for products that are primarily US based. This will just come with time and the system is open enough for companies and devs to easily expand it. I’m not sure I would recommend this to anyone who isn’t technically inclined. It’s kinda pricey but remember no subscription and all local. Companies like Arlo make their devices so cheap and handicap them without a subscription. Because they rely on network they are vulnerable to hacks, high network usage and useless without internet. Overall, nice device with lots of capabilities and potential for growth. I’ve scoured the internet for a device like this and this is pretty much it unless you love writing yaml and like bad uis. ... show more

I am an avid home automation person for 5+ years. I was VERY excited to try this. First the GOOD. The UI is beautiful. I have seen videos that show the automations are incredible except for the BAD; It just does not support enough devices. At least the ones we have in the US. For example. It supports the TPLink KASA KP303 3 plug strip because someone begged for months. It does NOT support the HS300 6 plug version at all. No aqara FP2 for whatever reason. After getting my Homey Bridge earlier this year, Homey Pro is the well-anticipated sequel. Excited that I can finally use the new Matter and Thread standards with my smart home gadgets. That was definitely something I was missing from the Bridge. Besides that the Pro uses the same app and I can use the flows I already created. Just now also with Matter devicse. Some devices are a little tricky bc they restrict other platforms from intergrating them. So far I have found a work around for everything but my smart blinds (still working on those). ... show more

    • so much miss information
Was excited to purchase this device. RETURNED>> First, the setup was very bad and took over 30 minutes and countless times for the homey app to connect to this device. I have a ton of different MFG smart home devices. Connecting APPs for each one is crazy but the worst part in one example is connecting to a 3nd party hub with 21 devices, homey once app added could see two out of 21. Apple home can see all 21, Google can see all 21 so this was first issue. Second is advance flow, the main reason I purchased this. While the website states a ton of info about Advanced Flow with PRO and is now free and part of the purchase, you get a simple non advanced flow on phone and as the website states you can use your mac or pc to create advance flow, you can't. This is just a mess for a user experience. I only tried to connect a few of my home devices and could not get anything working. I use shortcuts and they work perfectly but not a single simple FLOW worked. I get device is not connected error but it shows in the screen. After a few hours of wasted time, I returned to amazon. This is just a bad experience with a heavy price tag and in my case just did not work on anything I own. ... show more

    • Will not support most current devices
The Homey Pro promises much and offers little. It was designed and built for the European market not the US. Therefore it will not support Ecobee beyond model 3 pro nor will it support wifi devices as promises such as Lockley Wifi lock. Its Aquara support is also limiting it will not support FP2 sensor. In all a device that offesr the promise of master of all home integration but falls far short in delivery and execution. ... show more
