  • Works great, love not having to fumble with my phone to set the scene.
I had a heck of a time understanding what I was ordering when I started laying out my system, so I want to share my experience to help someone else. If this info helps you, please consider using my Amazon link to purchase your items: https://amzn.to/3NOBFv4 Each button will trigger an "if-then" list of commands that you setup in the app, and it has been very reliable for me so far. You can also enable "Alternate Mode" which will toggle the command state. For example, if you have "Button 1" assigned to a script that turns on 2 lights, if you enable "Alternate Mode" it will turn them off with a second press. So you can assign two unique scripts or lists of actions to this switch. I saw other reviews that said you had to assign one button for "on" and the other for "off." That is incorrect. In order to use this switch--or "sensor" as Govee calls it--you need a device that contains the Govee Distributed Gateway technology. There are a good number of items that contain a distributed gateway, and Govee lists them all on their page. What I ended up doing was ordering a H5083 smart plug set (https://amzn.to/44ng4ke). You only need one smart plug to establish the gateway, but obviously the more you have throughout your house the strong the Distributed Gateway signal will be. **Pro tip: If your plug fails to create the Distributed Gateway after adding the plug to your Govee account, delete the device from the account, pull the plug, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in, and readd the plug to your account. I had to do this 2 or 3 times until mine was established. Thankfully you only have to do this once. Now that you have a Govee Distributed Gateway established, you should be aware that the only devices that I could personally get to work with the distributed gateway were Wi-Fi capable devices that support Alexa. So for example, instead of buying the bluetooth kit (https://amzn.to/3OeBta0) you should get the Wi-Fi one (https://amzn.to/3XRkLQQ). I figured this out the hard way and wasted a good bit of money doing it. So learn from my mistake and save time and money. I had originally figured I could connect bluetooth devices to the Distributed Gateway, but that was not the case in my experience and I couldn't find any information on it online. So just get a Govee device that supports Wi-Fi and Alexa and you will be good to go. Overall I like the Govee ecosystem and have made them my go to for RGB strips and lighting needs. They integrate well with Google Home, but I haven't explored using Home Assistant with them yet. I hope this review helped you in some way. If it did and you want to buy me an energy drink, order some stuff using my Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3ObpDxf. Much appreciated and good luck! ... show more

  • Works Great
This is the perfect device for controlling lights without needing to install a switch. It does lag every once in a while, but not long enough or often enough for it to be an issue.

  • Works great but can be spotty
Works great but can be spotty. The install was simple, pretty much plug and play. Has a great ergonomic design. Works great but sometimes it will have a very slow response if it hasn’t been used in a while, almost like it went to sleep and fell off the network.

  • Love this smart button
Works great with my LED light strips that I have in my game room, just mounted the button on the side of my Xbox series X and programmed it to the mode I made for when I’m gaming, and when I need a light at nighttime I will turn white when I press it after 9 pm and the bottom button I have to turn them off. Very helpful. ... show more

  • useless, distributed gateway gets in sleep mode and need 5 minutes to wake it up every time
I have very strange problem, small but extremely inconvenient. All looks ok - 5 outlets H5080, and 1 outlet H5083, 4 lamps H6008 , and 8 buttons H5122 and 1 button H5126. Distributed Gateway sees all outlets and all Lamps. Buttons work perfect. BUT , if I don't use any button for about 30 minutes , all buttons stop working. like Distributed Gateway goes in "sleep mode" . When I press any button - nothing happens, but after 5 minutes ALL buttons are working again. even if i press a single button, , that somehow awake the whole system, and all start working, but after 5 minutes. That make system completely useless - i can not turn my lamps during the night and morning. From the phone app, i can still control the lamps and outlets. Send few messages through the app, but no useful answer. ... show more

  • Gets the job done
It does an okay job. It is easy to program it to govee accessories. I also like how it had adhesive to place on a wall or something else. The most frustrating part is that generally you have to press the button twice before it will actually complete the action. It is worse when it has not been used recently. I don't know if it enters a sleep mode of sorts, but it is frustrating having to wait and press the button multiple times to get it to work. ... show more

  • Simple but effective
I have two of them in different bedrooms. The buttons can be placed anywhere convenient. I created logic in the Govee App to have the top button turn lights on, and bottom button to turn light off. The sweet part is that you can refine the intensity and color for the on button to your liking, or have one button for many different appliances or lights that are supported from Govee. The first initial setup was tricky. The button is Bluetooth only, and must connect to other Govee devices that support WiFi in what Govee calles a “distributed gateway”. In addition, Govee only works on 2.4 GHz WiFi. Router should adjust automatically but mine did not. I had to manually set my router to 2.4 as it was on 5 GHz. After it was connected, I set my router back to Automatic. Now devices talk on 2.4 and 5 GHz. The latter frequency is batter but not supported by Govee. ... show more

  • It works
Works with my H6075 floor lamp, using the H7111 air circulator as a smart hub. It does exactly what I need it to do, even if it can be a little slow to execute the command. I have one button that turns on/off the light and the other button is set to dim.
