Initially, thought they would not work. They come in, fully compressed and dried out. So they appear to be very thin. When wet for the first time, the plump up to full thickness. Although they have a smaller area than the brand name ones, they are more than large enough to clean my largest pots. When they arrive in their tiny little package, you would not believe that there could be 80 sponges in it. They are vacuum compressed and sealed in a plastic pouch, and they look like little wafers, green and yellow. However, once you pierce the vacuum, they will expand. It will take about 12 hours, before they reach their full thickness. I think they are sturdy enough to last for a little while, and that’s OK because sponges doing kitchen chores will usually wear out no matter what. They are also OK for the unit price. ... show more

    • It takes a gallon of water for it to get to the size shown in the picture.

Thumbs down. I would give no stars if I could. The pack of sponges came in a vacuum sealed pack. The sponge is smash to almost cardboard thickness, maybe 1/3". It took a container with an inch of water to soak the sponge and 2 hours to soak before the sponge retained it's full thickness in size. It never looked like the picture even spending time soaking and squeezing the water out. I would not buy again. ... show more
