I used this product for my dorm room so it would smell better. It is quite small, so I recommend using it in a small room like a bedroom. If you have any animals at home you should not use this as they are sensitive to essential oils and it could harm their health. The diffuser changes different colors so it looks really cool, especially at night. You just have to add some water and then a few drops of your desired essential oil scent. Essential oils have to be purchased separately. The diffuser really makes a difference to the smell of the room and I totally recommend it. You can play around with as many scents as you want.     • Works, but cheap and difficult to use

First, this diffuser works great so far (approx 2 weeks). I love the "Big/small" mist option, but so far have only figured out how to change that from the default of small using the remote. If there's a way to change it on the device itself, I'd love to find out how! It really makes it cover a large area well. I don't want to offend the reviewers who talk about how nice this is. I'm happy they enjoy it, but this thing is chintzy. It's even worse than what I'd expect for the price. The plastic feels super cheap — like a disposable product — and it likes to stick to itself, which makes it really hard to handle without making a huge mess. It's very difficult to get a good grasp on the bottom without hitting the buttons (which are overly large, IMO), and, because the plastic is "grippy", opening the top with anything in the water compartment causes it to shake and spill no matter how careful you are. Worse, the top is two separate pieces. When you remove it, usually the inner part stays stuck to the bottom. I tried lubricating the area that should slide and putting sticky stuff where it should stay together to keep them together, but it still gets stuck. This could actually be a good thing because it would allow for easy refilling without risk of spoiling there contents. But, you can't put the outer part back on without first taking the inner part off, putting the two top pieces back together, then twisting them back on together. This is a process that requires you to put your hand all the way inside the top, align the two pieces perfectly, and make sure the misting spout on the inner piece sticks out of the hole on the outer piece. Sound confusing? It is! And it's a messy inconvenience. I hate it. I'd return it, but I've had to return a couple of defective diffusers already, and this works. I don't want Amazon thinking I'm a diffuser killer. It's not me! It's these companies making things to accommodate fads without putting enough thought into the design. And this is a petty thing, but if I care you might. The lights don't have a very strong blue. I happen to like a very deep blue just as it starts to turn purple, and this never gets there. Small gripe, but with all the options out there, these little details can help people make good choices. I would not buy again. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is the first diffuser I have owned. I have been meaning to review it for a while, but I am glad I didn't, because an initial 5 star product has become a 2 star product, due to a major issue. I purchased the 100ml version. Using the intermittent mode, it lasts all day, so I see no need for a larger size. I had no initial interest in the night light, but I do use it, I just wish it wasn't so bright (red is the only truly dim color). The cord plugs in recessed in the bottom, which is nice, but also causes issues for me. I take this to a sink to empty the milky leftovers and wipe it out when changing scents and the recessed plug does not make this convenient. The print on the outside rapidly wears off, not a big deal to me and probably unavoidable when dealing with oils. THE MAJOR ISSUE I have with this is that it has become very difficult to attach the top correctly. There are three tabs that you engage by pushing down and twisting. At first I had no problem with this. Now, I often have GREAT difficulty attaching the top to the bottom. This is exacerbated by the fact that it is full and very easy to spill when trying to attach the top. The top has a removable insert and if this comes loose or misaligned, it can cause issues getting the top on, but I have difficulty now even knowing that. DO NOT think you can get away with sitting the top on top without connecting it, because the water/oil will soon be all over your table (I try stupid things so you don't have to 😉). So... basically a nice, inexpensive diffuser, but I if I buy another, I would definitely look for one with a better/easier method of connecting the top. UPDATE: The day after I wrote the above review, the diffuser ceased to work. It seems to have a short in the power cable, which isn't surprising considering my issue with the recessed plug. I am off now to search Amazon for a better diffuser. ALTERNATIVE: I highly recommend the "Amazon Basics 100ml Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser" as an alternative to this. Apart from some minor issues, it corrects all the issues I have with the Homeweeks diffuser. A bit more expensive, but worth it. (I intend to review the Amazon diffuser seperately, but haven't at this point found the time). ... show more
