Description

Classic coastal design. The Nantucket Kitchen Island by homestyles features hand-rubbed wainscot panels and edges for coastal charm. The island is crafted of solid hardwood and engineered woods with an off-white painted finish and maple-finished solid wood top. A 10.5" drop leaf extends the top to 46.5"D, making it ideal for the casual eating area. A single upper drawer features unique antique nickel-hooded drawer pulls. Two lower doors open to two adjustable shelves, and there are two open adjustable shelves on each side. Finish and measurements may vary. Assembly required. Measures: 36"H x 48"W x 26.5"D.

Sturdy and strong, yellowish-white as everyone said in other reviews, perfect size and height. Among minuses: 1) 3 weeks in, the surface developed a crack. I swear I did not leave any liquids on it or anything like that. 2) the triangular supports for the flipping extension piece are too tight, I'm concerned I'll break the hinges one day. ... show more

We love our new island... we also have the pantry in the nantucket series that goes with this and both are well made, sturdy construction. Cavernous generous storage and a classy 'distressed' finish fit right in to our cozy cabin. Arrives in two large boxes and takes a couple hours to assemble, but it's worth it. The satin-finished butcher block counter top is absolutely gorgeous and very sturdy. Looks better than the photos. It's a joy to sit at this table while meals are prepared and the folding leaf is well done and pairs nicely with a couple bar stools. Would recommend at or below the 1K price. ... show more

I was hesitant to pay this much for flat pack furniture, but I saw the reviews and decided to take the chance. And I'm glad I did! We just put this together and I have to admit that I'm impressed. It looks good, it feels solid, and it was easy to put together - it took me about an hour and a half to do almost completely by myself (I had help to put the top on). This island is awesome and really sturdy. Looks great but the only reason for the 4 stars and not 5, is that it is not white. It's a distressed off white. I will be painting it bright white here in the near future, but outside of that, looks great!

I LOVE this piece! It was the perfect solution to our lack of counter space in a cottage kitchen! The assembly was straightforward and easy. The color is not really white, but more of an off white.

! Exactly what we wanted! The arms that hold up the leaf are a little tight to "unlock" at forst. But it becomes easier the more you use them. I would definitely recommend this piece!!
