How you turn the legs is VERY important...not just getting the front and back situated. The legs actually have to be placed at the right corner. It doesn't look like it will matter, but it does!!! It seems to be very sturdy but we haven't used it much and probably won't. We put it in front of our roll-top desk and it slides right under to store out of the way. I really like these stools now that they are officially assembled! But man, they were a bit tough to get together. My husband and I spent about 2.5 hours trying to get the last bolts to go in. It just seemed like it was not aligned so we had to figure out how to maneuver the stool so that we could get it to work. Finally got them up and I love them now lol ... show more

First I should say, we have a lot of experience assembling furniture. A lot. We bought two of these chairs and the first one was easy to assemble. Unfortunately assembling the second was a total nightmare because the screw holes for one of the legs were not lined up to match the seat of the chair and one of the cross pieces was improperly cut as well. After hours of trying to finesse everything into place we ended up having to sand down and shim the leg in order to be able to screw it on. We thought all was okay after this but it turned out that despite our labor the wood split in the location of the screw. Unfortunately we threw away the packaging because it was garbage night and we also need to use the chair tomorrow, so it seems we are stuck with it unless we can figure out a way to repackage and return it. Hopefully it won't collapse right away if someone sits on it but it probably will at some point. Ugh. ... show more
