It took me maybe 30 minutes to an hour to assemble and it was quite easy. The bed is very sturdy and great for my teenager. It looks and feel really great. It's quite a steal for the price I paid.

I wanted something cheap but sturdy. My daughter loved the design of this bed. I was a bit worried about creaking. It arrived when promised. The box was a bit larger than card table, but same shape. No damages! I just put it up a couple days ago, actually my 11 year old started by herself. Instructions were pictures only but easy enough to understand. It feels sturdy when I laid on it. I am not a fan of the slats/poles under the mattress but warned her against jumping. It is high enough for her to store things underneath and I appreciate the support legs in the middle of the bed. This bed is a great bargain. The bed arrived in the box and you are required to assemble the bed but the instructions are excellent and they provide a diagram to help you piece it together. The bed is sturdy and the metal finish is pretty resistant to any scuff or scratch you might accidentally have from time to time. Note: Don't forget the snap-in lock caps to the metal rods as these hold the rods in place and keep them from moving. I lost these and had to email the company (Homeelegance) to get replacements. They were quick to reply and provided me the parts at no cost. Overall a great value and easy to assemble as well as disassemble in case of a potential home move. ... show more

This is the second one of these beds and mattresses that we have purchased. The framework is sturdy. The design is attractive. The ease of putting the framework/headboard/footboard together took less than an hour. The mattresses are very comfortable - and you do NOT need a box spring. The first bed/mattress purchased was for our spare room for our slim and young Grandson (age 9) and he loves it! The second bed/mattress purchased was for our slim and young Grandson's room at his home and again; he loves it! This bed frame is lower to the floor than most twin beds, but it is functional all the same. This bed will hold up to 250 pounds and a 6ft person easily enough. Do I recommend this bed?     • Support leg broke off after 3 months of use - was completely rusted through.

When I first put the bed frame together I really liked it. It is easy enough to assemble by yourself. No heavy tools or equipment needed. Each individual metal piece is hollow and light weight. I have been using this frame for three months now with only a mattress. Behind the blanket seen in the photo there is a small leg (1/4 the size of corner leg) on each side of the bed that provides most of the support. One of these support legs has broken off and the center of the frame will break very soon without it. It wasn't because of loose/faulty screws. It's piece that was once welded together - it broke off pretty cleanly. It is completely rusted, which is probably why it broke so easily. I think the rest of the frame is rusted too and it's only a matter of time until it all starts falling apart. Perhaps it was stored somewhere cold and wet? Regardless, it is painted over very nicely so don't be fooled. ... show more

Felt the need to write a review on this item. Bought it for my teenage daughter since her room is very small and a bigger wood frame would be too big. Delivery was great I actually received the very next day! Building it took a long time, as a screw was missing. So I had to find a similar one, and all that was time consuming. Who wants to send an item back half way thru building just because a screw is missing? not me. Anyway, the end result was great, bed looks nice, modern, firm. Would have gave it five stars if the screw wasn't missing. Oh another thing, our twin mattress was a little small for the frame, there was more space, not too much so its fine. ... show more
