Recommend! This is a full size for my sons room and we love it and it’s exactly what we expected. I knew this brand/seller was worth the price as we purchased a different style & color a few weeks before for our master. When putting together do not tighten all bolts till the end that helps especially when you use a wrong size lol I had to remove a couple when building my sons. Beds come in 2 boxes. Our king both came together but this black full version came different days first headboard and the very next day rails. I knew this could happen from a review so did not worry, as well as on the box it states it. For the price these beds are amazing!! I read so many reviews from the brands in this price point and I feel home life is a solid buy. No bug issues eww that was scary but I knew it was a very small few probably returns or really old as majority of reviews loved it. I almost chose Zinus but they have really short headboards and 2 piece side rails which was another brands issue we almost purchased. With a 2 piece side rail 1 shows on fabric I did NOT like that plus they also place a leg there and reviews stated many stubbed their tow. I thought of ours and realized then that home life was different and that solidified our decision to purchase another home life bed. Our king is a scalloped headboard in light grey stunning also so I know I will purchase again from this brand!! Look closely at photos when comparing some that are very similar as I almost missed the 2 piece side rail issue and would have hated having a leg in the middle on both sides! ... show more

    • Elegant and Beautiful for a Great Price

Wow! Where do I start.. okay so first of all, so many reviews mentioned bed bugs. I was extremely skeptical, but purchased anyway as the reviews about bugs were years ago. Second, this is a perfect headboard. I feel like I really got a bargain for the price because it looks so nice and elegant for such a low amount. Third, I read reviews about needing a drill and yes, you definitely need the drill for the last part of assembly! The boards to hold the mattress need to be drilled into the frame. Fourth, I have been using this frame since Feb. 5 and it is now April 10 with no issues. So there were no bugs, no problems assembling, and it’s so beautiful. I think this could be put together alone, but may be much easier with two people. I recommend this to anyone searching for a nice headboard/frame. ... show more

Unfortunately, I have to start with a Con: I received my bed, and two days later the price is 24.00 less than I paid. Lucky for you, unlucky for me. I paid 312.00, as a point of reference, this is Oct 24, 2020. Now for the good stuff. I rated 5 stars in all areas. Putting the bed together was a little time consuming, but only because my husband likes to putter, and the Allen wrench tightening is a bit daunting, you have to get in some weird angles. If you have a drill bit that works for those type of screws, you’ll be a happy camper. The quality of the bed just blew me away, everything about it, and I mean everything screams Class! I guess you could say, it’s downright glamorous, like old school Hollywood. I chose the black version, which gives it a bit of a masculine touch, and not all fru-fru girlie. Hubby 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙! It’s sturdy and the slats are not going anywhere. We have a 10 inch hybred mattress on ours. It works fine, however, if I had to do it over again, I’d say a 12 inch mattress would give you an even height to the bottom of the headboard, ours has a tiny gap ( no biggie ) that’s covered by the pillows anyhow. The other option for height is to add a topper, but be aware You won’t get full view of the headboard. One thing worth mentioning, during assembly, when you are putting those wing backs on, start at the bottom first, don’t tighten the screws all the way until you do the top screws. We had trouble lining the bottom screws up doing it the opposite way. If I had to choose a bed again,it would be this one, it’s beautiful. Coming from a hotel background, I took notice of the reviews about bedbugs, but I’m very glad I took the chance and bought it anyway. ... show more

This bed was SO easy to put together! I thought I would have to help but all I did was pass my boyfriend the screws and he had the bed up within an hour. The fabric on headboard is so nice, it gives it a more expensive feel. The beams support the mattress so well it actually feels like I got a new mattress too and I’m pretty heavy. Also the headboard goes up past my head when I sit up and that was very important to me. I’m 5,9 and the last headboard I had only went up to my shoulders. I knew I would like the bed but I’m over the moon, for this price point and this quality I rate this a 10 out of 5 ... show more

This is really a beautiful bed, once it's put together, I love the charcoal/black color too (it goes with anything).I've had this bed for about a week and I have to say it's very sturdy! It arrived in two packages at my doorstep, thank goodness because these are heavy to carry and they would never fit in my car. Upon opening and inspecting some of the metal frames, a couple of the ends were bent but I was able to take a pair of pliers and bend them back to shape. It took me a while to put this together but I took my time and did it right. All of the holes for screws etc lined up, thank god! I was concerned that it wouldn't be sturdy, when taking everything out of the box I was thinking, huh this is a little flimsy but once it's all together, it's sturdy! Btw, you will definitely need an electric drill when attaching the wood bed slats. It was my saving grace to put that baby together. It's cool though, because the slats some linked together by some type of sturdy cloth strips so they are equal distance from one another. Once it was put together, I slapped my newer mattress on it and voila, best nights sleep. Plus, my back doesn't hurt as much from the crappy box spring I had before. Oh also, I have not heard one "creek" from the bed at any point! All in all, it's a great bed and beautiful too. I think it will all boil down to how long will it last. ... show more
