I've bought 3 of these sets for Christmas gifts for my adult kids and adult grandkids!! There is nothing better than throwing out the old miss matched utensils and starting over with NEW!! The utensils are sturdy stainless steel with a very nice weight!! This set is great in the kitchen but would also be perfect for outdoor kitchens, bbq, cabin or lake house. This set is a great investment if you are looking to keep your kitchen utensils on a budget for a new place. I am 6 months in and it's in great shape. As with other reviews, the can opener and peeler aren't the greatest for durability but they still work. For the price, I cannot complain. I was in a position where I needed various kitchen utensils on a strict budget. I thought these would be just the ticket. I was wrong. I would've been far better off buying a better quality set, or individual pieces, at a higher price...something that is durable and would last. Because I'll likely be replacing several of these pieces after a very short time. These utensils are very cheaply made from flimsy materials (despite what the description says) and I doubt they'll hold up to much use. The blade fell out of the cheese knife while I was washing it right after unpacking. And pay attention when washing and be sure to let all the water drain out of the handles. Some of the items, the spoons and turners mostly, are adequate...except for water remaining in the handles after washing. Everything else is pretty much junk. Most all of the handles have some fairly sharp edges on them as do the edges of the spoons and turners. Not likely sharp enough to cut skin but sharp enough to be uncomfortable. And definitely sharp enough to easily damage certain cookware...including the seasoning on cast iron. I'm almost afraid to use the peeler. It's another piece that came apart out of the box. One side that holds the blade in place was bent and the tab the holds the blade in place was able to fall out. I had to bend the side back in place in order to make this piece serviceable. I'd say the best use for these utensils would be as a kitchen decoration...hang them on the wall and use something else to cook with. Most of them do look pretty nice. But looks, in this case, are deceiving. This is exactly the kind of crap that gives "Made in China" a well-deserved reputation for poor quality. Do yourself a favor and buy something else. ***UPDATED*** I haven't really changed my opinion of the quality of these utensils. However, I was contacted by the seller and they wen't above and beyond to make this experience better for me. I'm very impressed with their prompt attention to my concerns. I went ahead and decide on primarily wood & metal utensils for my wedding in hopes of having tools that matched & were good for my family’s health. This set was a perfect choice I was able to essentially dump my whole drawer and replace it easily with one purchase. The first package I received was the 29 piece set which was also very high quality this one took awhile to get here after the mishap but all and all very happy with my purchase. ... show more

Had I rated upon opening, I would have given it 5 stars and had even thought this would make a nice wedding gift. Now I am not so sure. This is a beautiful looking set with a great selection of pieces however I have only been using the set for about three weeks and one of the turners bent when pressing down on a hamburger. Next, the handle totally broke off the can opener, rendering it useless and I now have to buy another can opener. Also, as mentioned by others, there are some edges that seem to be very sharp. I purchased this set to replaces all my current utensils as I have latex allergies and some had rubber or plastic handles but impossible to determine which so I threw them all away. I am now concerned that I may find myself having to replace some of these pieces as well. Again, I will say I love the look of these pieces and it is a great value if I don’t end up having to replace more pieces other than the can opener. At this point, I am on the fence and don’t know if I would recommend this or not. ... show more

    • Great "far better than starter" Kitchen starter
It's wedding season and some friends are pretty much starting over together after extended delays finishing school, etc. We've purchased some products from this company previously and came across this "what else could they need" setup that'll make a great wedding present and really give them the needed fresh start in their kitchen drawers. With 29 pieces in the set, there isn't much missing. All the pieces are "all stainless steel" excepting the spatula and tongs which have silicone on the business end. The general purpose pieces such as the turners and spoons are "right size" for general use... not too big and not too small so you can flip pancakes out of a skillet if you want. Each piece has a hang loop on the tail so if they're inclined to use a gadget rack or other hanging option it's available. If it were my set, I'd prefer a little more silicone and some wood components but (a) she says this is the right one for a wedding present and (b) they can complement with some wood/silicone handle or other featured accessories as needed. This is a really good setup and it makes for a nice gift as they start their lives together. ... show more
