I was in a position where I needed various kitchen utensils on a strict budget. I thought these would be just the ticket. I was wrong. I would've been far better off buying a better quality set, or individual pieces, at a higher price...something that is durable and would last. Because I'll likely be replacing several of these pieces after a very short time. These utensils are very cheaply made from flimsy materials (despite what the description says) and I doubt they'll hold up to much use. The blade fell out of the cheese knife while I was washing it right after unpacking. And pay attention when washing and be sure to let all the water drain out of the handles. Some of the items, the spoons and turners mostly, are adequate...except for water remaining in the handles after washing. Everything else is pretty much junk. Most all of the handles have some fairly sharp edges on them as do the edges of the spoons and turners. Not likely sharp enough to cut skin but sharp enough to be uncomfortable. And definitely sharp enough to easily damage certain cookware...including the seasoning on cast iron. I'm almost afraid to use the peeler. It's another piece that came apart out of the box. One side that holds the blade in place was bent and the tab the holds the blade in place was able to fall out. I had to bend the side back in place in order to make this piece serviceable. I'd say the best use for these utensils would be as a kitchen decoration...hang them on the wall and use something else to cook with. Most of them do look pretty nice. But looks, in this case, are deceiving. This is exactly the kind of crap that gives "Made in China" a well-deserved reputation for poor quality. Do yourself a favor and buy something else. ***UPDATED*** I haven't really changed my opinion of the quality of these utensils. However, I was contacted by the seller and they wen't above and beyond to make this experience better for me. I'm very impressed with their prompt attention to my concerns. Good customer service. If you want to press something like a burger the spatula will bend. They are loose in the handles and "stamped" so there is a lip on the back side which makes them a little harder to clean and uncomfortable on the hands if you hold off the handle. I just now used the can opener for the first time and noticed rust at the handles.. Just poor quality all around.. ... show more

This set is a great investment if you are looking to keep your kitchen utensils on a budget for a new place. I am 6 months in and it's in great shape. As with other reviews, the can opener and peeler aren't the greatest for durability but they still work. For the price, I cannot complain. I went ahead and decide on primarily wood & metal utensils for my wedding in hopes of having tools that matched & were good for my family’s health. This set was a perfect choice I was able to essentially dump my whole drawer and replace it easily with one purchase. Long time home cook here. I have accumulated a collection of a variety of kitchen utensils and tools over the years from online purchases, gifts, thrifting and garage sales and have been satisfied with everything. I've never had an entire matching set of utensils and I impulse purchased these without thoroughly reading the reviews or doing the research. When I started unpackaging it, I was immediately disappointed with the flimsy feel. The spatula was easily bendable. There is no weight to any of them and they feel like toys in the hand. The quality stinks. There is an opening groove towards the tops of the handles - a great place for food and bacteria to get stuck in and grow. Honestly, I feel like I could go to the Dollar Store and come back with better quality things. I wrapped everything back up and returned it. I'll stick with my variety brand of kitchen utensils, although mismatched, they'll last many more years and are much better quality than these. This item was prompted to me by Amazon during a purchase of some Cuisinart cookware and so I assumed that these were also by Cuisinart and that is why I purchased them without reading the reviews. They sure look nice in the picture and I'm betting that the majority of the rave reviews are those who just have them for kitchen decor.
