I was not sure what to expect from ordering a sofa online. But we were pleasantly surprised. The goal of this purchase was to have a nicer guest bed option than an inflatable mattress without having to commit to a bed for just occasional visits. This is like a futon but much, much more attractive and easy to use. The frame slides apart like a fully flat futon (no wrestling a futon from angled to flat), then the mattress folds out once to cover the frame. There are 2 support legs to be folded out when in the bed position. There is no assembly. The frame comes ready to go, so only adding the mattress and pillows is required. From the photos and description, I was mostly unsure if the bolsters would support being leaned back on - they do. They are heavily weighted and the bottom of them has a grippy material to prevent sliding (see photo). This material is on 2 sides of the bolster so it would be visible from behind if not against a wall or unless placed inside towards the pillow. The mattress bottom also has this material to grip to the frame, so the mattress would not be reversible in case of stains or damage. The pillows can be configured in multiple ways. I love its simple design and that it is a natural linen material. The color is as depicted and is a pretty, neutral cream. The couch cushion is quite firm just sitting on it and will be half as thick when folded out for the mattress, so I have no expectations of it being comfortable to sleep on without a topper. But I already have to use a topper on inflatable mattresses for comfort. The pillows also take up a lot of the depth, so it is not a loungy sofa with the pillows across the back. I would not say it is a comfortable sofa for daily use, but I like to read on it, I love the aesthetics for our home for the 99% of the time it is not being used as a bed, and it fulfills the need for a functional guest bed perfectly. As far a delivery goes, it is "curbside" delivery, so it will be left by the street (the FedEx driver was kind enough to bring it up by the door when asked but not inside as it is moved on a pallet jack). It comes strapped to the pallet and is very heavy. We had to unbox where it sat and brings in the pieces, which was still challenging with the weight since everything in the box is plastic wrapped together. The delivery is "scheduled" ahead of time. While they committed to the day, they did not adhere to the agreed upon time window, so prepare to be available for the whole day. All in all, the small issues with the sofa and delivery were as expected, and I love the choice we made. ... show more
