I've been trying to find a "toy drone" that my 7 year old could successfully control and operate by himself. I have bought dozens, with no success. This drone is quiet, and it flies so smoothly, so the sound /speed/ suddenness of movement does not startle my son as others have. It hovers very nicely while he figures out what buttons to press. I'm very happy with this drone. I will, however, mention that there are a couple of issues that I did encounter. 1st, I believe the description says it has 3 batteries. Mine came with 2 batteries. 2 batteries have been fine for us though. 2nd- the design of the battery is a little strange in that it clips onto the underside of the drone. When attempting to remove the battery to charge it, it seemed impossible. I had several friends attempt as well and no one wanted to "break it" because the way that you need to squeeze and pull the battery to get it back off actually does feel like doing so may break the whole drone. Rest assured though, the drone will be fine and you have to put some muscle into wrestling the battery off. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a fun little drone! It’s very lightweight because it’s made of a foam type material. So you can do lots of neat little tricks with it since it is so light, but you need to make sure it doesn’t get caught up in the wind if you’re playing with it outside.

I love this baby, I've had many electric RC planes and helicopter in the past including Nitro, this one is so easy to fly and so much fun, I fly it almost every night, it's even great outdoor when it's not windy or little wind, mine came with 3 batteries, they last about 5 min each and take about 12 min give or take to charge I have a multiple charger so I'm flying again by the time I was ready ... show more

It works very well and seems pretty sturdy. The plane/drone held up to my nephew's excited, prolonged use, the only downside is the battery does not last a super long time. But it also charges quickly so that's a plus. He's very satisfied with his gift.
