  • $20 manual focus lens
This is a fun little lens to throw on your DSLR. For $20 it's really not bad. On a full frame camera (I have a D750) There's a lot of vignetting. But I feel like that can add to the charm. Gives off point and shoot vibes. Has an 8 f-stop, so outside or a flash inside. Might buy another and see if I can't increase the f-stop. ... show more

  • Does exactly what you think it does.
This lens kind of sucks, and that's what you want it for. I actually ended up using it with an adapter on my Canon C300 (cinema camera) and it gave a really unique type of image quality. I've used it on my Nikon D2X and it also has the same image quality. It only can do certain things, but it gives that "cheap camera" or almost "disposable camera" look that, if you're looking at this lens, you're looking for. ... show more

  • A toy lens for APS-C
I bought this as a toy lens. But, it leaves heavy vinaigrette on my full frame camera.. I'll stick with the plastic optic on my lensbaby.

  • Fun accessory good gift idea
Fun accessory if you are into lomography or toy camera images. Requires a lot of light. Definitely makes an image similar to a film holga vignette and all no post process needed.

  • Its Craptastic.
If you are looking at this lens, you know it is not very sharp or technically good. It's bad. You know it's bad, but it is in the "so bad it's good" category. If you shoot indoors, it's super dark; even outside, it's dark. It's got a ton of vignetting. The sharpest you are going to get is in a little spot in the center; it's just a very crap lens. BUT THAT IS WHAT MAKES IT FUN AND CREATIVE. I have used several Holgas in my film days, and they are very unpredictable. If you shoot a portrait with it, it gives you magic (when it works). In the digital age, you can see what you shot and try to work with it. I know when I used the film version of this, each copy was its own special snowflake. I expect this lens to be the same. I don't know if I will buy 5-6 of these to find the one I like, but at <$20, it's not that expensive to try. ... show more

  • Pretty good Holga effect for DSLR
This lens gives you that sort of magic Holga look on your dslr pretty accurately and for the price, it’s a must-have effect lens to toss in the kit.

Images not very usable...

  • It's a toy camera lens for your DSLRs
I was looking for something that can give a toy camera plastic lens look, but on an SLR with a Nikon F-mount. That is pretty much what this is. You're not going to get any light leaks and streaks. If you want those they will need to be added in post, but you will otherwise get the look. I'm very happy to have found this. ... show more
