This tool beats using a pair of pliers (or two) any day for tightening or loosening compression valves for sinks and toilets. While the ratcheting mechanism is a little cumbersome and takes some getting used to, it works great in tight spaces where you would constantly have to reset a pair of pliers. The threaded handle is a huge help in holding the valve in position too. Build quality seems solid and unless you are going to be using this daily, I don’t see why this tool wouldn’t hold up for a very long time. If you are going to be installing or removing more than a couple compression fittings I highly recommend this tool. If you’ve been doing it the hard way for years you will kick yourself for not buying one of these sooner! Makes working in tight places that much less of a headache! ... show more

The ratcheting wrench was a neat idea and helpful, but didn’t let me apply too much power. The screw on tool however was awesome. I like being able to control the valve without having to hold a crescent wrench perfectly in place. I highly recommend, especially if you’re working in a tight space.

Super easy to use Wrench for anything plumbing around the house. I do have a rental, so time to time I have to fix minor stuff regarding sinks or toilets on both my properties so this one did came handy the last time I used it. Much easier and better than what I had before. It grips fantastic and it goes with the flow either to lose it or tight it. I got these to replace a kitchen faucet. It didn't come same day as advertised, but I'm okay considering it was the holiday rush. These tools are designed specifically for installing angle stops for kitchen and bath. So, for its application design, it is worth the buy. However, the build is not top quality. When you examine the material, the material used is a alloy metal that gives a sparkle against light, just like the cheap metal used in many lower end 'pittsburg' line of Harbor Freight tools. That being said, it may not impact function, but I would keep these tools out of weather and water and not put too much torque on them. They do work as designed and for the price, perhaps it is justified. I wouldn't mind a stainless steel set, though. ... show more

both tools worked perfectly. The wrench acts like a ratchet for faster removal in tight spaces. And since it is a combination wrench I can carry fewer tools to do the job. The threaded 3/8 wrench adds leverage when loosening extra tight compression nuts.
