    • MARCH start, not April. Lovely little planner
I must point out first that this is marketed as an April Start planner but mine at least was actually a March 2021 - March 2022 planner. Keep that in mind if you , like I did, bought this as a companion to a Techo Cousin, which are typically April Start! I use the A5 planner I have for most everything like home, work, meals, and journaling. I use this wallet sized planner for things with really specific due dates like special work projects ("Thursday 6PM") on the weekly pages and upcoming bills on the monthly pages. I got the Swallows pattern, which has a lovely embroidered cover with an interesting texture. I used a clear cover on it to help keep it safe but the covers and pages are nice to handle. Most pens are great on this paper, definitely look up reviews online if you're using particular pen combos (like a sheening fountain ink, or a highlighter over gel pen) to make sure you won't have any problems, but for the most part ghosting isn't bad and bleed through isn't a problem, some inks take a while to dry, so I suggest a book stand or something else to keep the pages open a little while before closing, if you're using a particularly wet pen or marker. I'm learning japanese so I can only read what's in english right now, but it's enough to make this planner plenty usable regardless. Very good planner. ... show more

    • I couldn't make this weeks stay open flat. The binder wouldn't allow it.

I don't think I'm a weeks person. I didn't like that the book did not stay open flat. So much of what I do is open in front of me and this didn't work. I removed the binding (no worries, I saved it and can reglue the book to it when finished - if it lasts that long) and put it in a plastic cover that I decorated. It works for now. I didn't realize this wasn't the hardback which was my fault. But it will serve its purpose. It was delivered before expected too.
