It is sturdy. Fairly easy to assemble. All the holes line up if you are not an idiot and realize you have to align the two sides with the center support with your hand, as, because of normal flex of steel at that length, they do not magically align for you. Does not squeak or flex with a mattress on top when you are sleeping. You should assemble it with all the bolts finger tight, then “square up” the frame by measuring corner to diagonal corner, on both sides, and adjust it with a slight nudge until the are both exactly equal. Then tighten up the fasteners. This is basic assembly logic. Not just for this platform. Also: the tip here of wrapping anti slip carpet mat around the slats and securing with zip ties is a good one. I did two wraps around on eight slats total and it does help the mattress stay put and not shift on the frame. The square tubing legs are not sharp. All the reviews stating you cut yourself on them is BS. ... show more

These assemble quickly, and are quite sturdy. They don't rock or shake, and are completely silent. They make the bed feel comfortably firm. The only thing I would change is make them slightly shorter than the mattress, because at full length the corner is quite sharp. Only a matter of time before I scape my knee on it. Two of these twins put side-by-side would be perfect for a king bed, since it's 5 inches longer and the sharp corners wouldn't be exposed. ... show more

It was so easy to set up I could have done it on my own but my son helped me. I’m a BIG woman and when I tell you I hoped on this bed and there was no squeaky noise, I was elated! Not to mention the bed is nice and high now I have storage space under it. I thought I lost one of the screws and panicked but noticed they send extra screws with it! Love love love this!!! I love this platform bed. I should have got the 16 inch instead of the 14 inch. But it still works. Very easy to assemble. The quality is great, strong and sturdy. For precautions I did cut strips of a carpet gripper to wrap-around the metal inserts, every other one. I used zip ties on each end to hold the carpet gripper, so the bed skirt wouldn't slip or slide. It actually worked pretty good. The reviews where the middle bar does not meet the sides, well......you do have to push the sides inward in order to line the hole up with the bars and the frame to get the screw started. So I don't know what that was all about, but when I did get the framing together, I did have to push the middle inward to get the screws started and it was fine. For the price, the quality, and the sturdiness, this is a great platform. I think I will just stick to platforms from now on, especially for the extra storage. ... show more

This is first frame I don't fear collapsing as all our previous ones did. So not having box springs is great. Plus it super strong and easy to put together. I highly recommend this. Plus I can put stuff under it if I want to and it makes for easy cleaning underneath too.
