I've been searching for smaller glass food storage containers for seeds, dried fruit, peppercorns, and other similar items. These 15 oz jars work well for housing my smaller pantry items. I did a measuring test to see exactly how much they hold and I think the 15 oz assessment is on point. I tried squeezing in 16 oz and it was a no-go. I prefer a little room between the top of the food items & the lid, so I filled mine up slightly less than 15 oz. The glass is decently thick and although I don't love plastic lids in general, these screw on well. So these jars are labeled as stackable, but I didn't realize from the product description that there are little divots on the lids that help hold the 'feet' of the glass jars so they sit securely atop one another. Cool feature! I am using these for pantry items but these jars could easily hold other small household items (safety pins, buttons, books of matches, etc.). ... show more

These arrived carefully packaged in their own box surrounded by foam. There were no chips or defects and no off odors. The containers are very nice. The glass is thick and sturdy, kind of a chunky look. The lids seal nicely. The capacity is 1.5 cups. Because of the feet and the depression in the lid they stack beautifully. Very sturdy. To test for leaks I filled it halfway with water, sealed tightly and shook it upside down. Within 30 seconds I had several drops of water coming out. That's not necessarily a negative, just a worst-case scenario. I think if they're kept upright they're more than suitable for liquid storage. They'd work very nicely for overnight oats or yogurt and granola cups and in that case they'd probably be leak-proof since it's thicker. Water is just so hard to contain. In the pantry they'd do well for nuts, dried fruit, chocolate chips or dried herbs. I plan to use them for loose leaf tea, dried beans or lentils and dried mushrooms. I do think the jars would seal well enough for these uses The containers and lids were easy to clean. The gasket comes out easily with a paring knife (use carefully) and reinserts easily. It does seem a little undersized and that may be the source of the water leaks. Overall I think it's a good item. They're quite attractive and I'd be happy to have them on display on the tea shelf of my hutch along with my other pretty containers. ... show more

I was afraid these might be too small for a decent amount of overnight oats. They end up being the perfect size and I love that they interlock on each other to stack in my fridge. My only complaint is the feet are hollow which creates a bit of a difficult little set of crevices to clean in the bottom of the jar. So far it hasn't been difficult to deal with, but knowing how oatmeal can harden if left to dry out I don't look forward to trying to scrub out those little spaces. Other than that, the glass is thick and feels durable and the lids have a nice seal on them. They're kind of short and squat so I can easily stack two of them on my shorter shelf in my fridge to save space if I prepare several day's worth of oats. Easy to recommend! ... show more
