After many years of use, my old life jacket sadly needed replacing. Luckily I was able to pick up the HO Sports Men’s Pursuit Life Jacket. We are avid kayackers, love our jet skis and water sports in general, so a good vest like this is essential for our fun. The quality of the vest is excellent. Every stitch and surge is straight and reinforced. The straps and buckles are incredibly durable and are easy to fasten and adjust, even when they are wet. The neoprene nylon is thick and feels smooth on my skin. It dries VERY quick, even in cooler conditions with no sunlight (night kayacking). This is a huge plus for me because nothing is worse than being wet and cold. Speaking of temperature, this does wear a bit warm (especially in the sun) because of all the padding, but despite the dark color it isn't a hot vest. Another great feature is the internal belt. I can't feel it against my back at all, even after hours of sitting in the kayack. This is really comfortable to wear, even during long periods of time. There are a few different layers of foam inside of the vest that make it quite buoyant. Rated at a level 70, Type 3, it keeps you afloat without being overly bulky. The slim design and large arm openings allow for completely unrestricted movement. I am (female) 5'7", 126lbs, 36C and according to the size chart I purchased a Medium. It fits perfect. Nice and snug where it doesn't ride up around my neck, but still comfortable and easily zipped. It is imperative you follow the size chart to get your proper size. I'm very picky with my vests, and I'm very happy that this one is absolutely perfect for my needs and fits like it was custom made for me. I got the large size. I have a 45" chest. this fits very snug. But even then it is really comfortable. I could wear this all day no issues. though if I was to get it again I would get a size bigger and just tighten it up. At least then I would have a little wiggle room. Overall a great product.

Nice quality and good weight. The neoprene material makes all the difference in the world vs the cheap thin nylon ones. I'm 5'11", 165lbs and ordered a medium. It fits very very snug, pressure against my guts. This might be a good thing for saving your life but may be too constricting for pulling off your backflip over the wake. I'm a 40 reg so was right at the dimensions listed that fit both medium and large sizes. If you are equal to me, go for the large, any smaller and you should be fine with the medium. I'm going to assume this measure follows through the sizes, so if you are at the absolute top of any, I'd go for the larger of the sizes as there are adjust straps to make it smaller but nothing you can do to make it larger. ... show more

I really wanted to use this vest, however the size ran really small, like three sizes too small. The quality was great, on par with several other personal flotation devices I have. I really liked the zipper and double snap closure system and the internal foam panels were slightly thinner, making the vest less bulky, which is a big plus. The arm holes are cut in such a way as to not interfere with forward and backward arm movement, which is important for freedom of movement for riding jetskis or other water sports. The color was attractive as well as it matches my jetski. The sizing, however, was just too small. Maybe I am just getting too big in my later years, but I have other vests that are Larges that fit just fine. Too bad though as I really wanted to use this vest. I am going to return as this vest does not fit anyone in my family. ... show more

High quality life jacket. I needed an XXL for my some friends when we go water skiiing, tubing, and in the boat. Quality heavy duty zipper and snaps work to secure a fit. Not bulky or super thick like some and not heavy on the body. Made for action wearers. My husband is a size 40 waist and XXL-XXXL in shirts. He can not zip it up with his belly unless he holds in his stomach and then it will zip with a snug fit over his belly. It does snap without zipping because of the adjustable straps.. I’m a XL and it fits like a XXL to me. Soft neoprene material that does not rub in the armpits like other vests so I really like the large arm holes. They do make a XXXL so I will get my husband that size since his belly is in the way. Granted I have not tested this jacket out in the water yet but will let you know how it works when we head back to the lake. Very happy with the quality the life vest. My husband said he was impressed too and is looking forward to getting the bigger size for more comfort. In a life jacket, you NEED it to be snug fit!! Order your true size. PROS: Stylish with nice decoration. Comfortable fabric. Easy to operate large buckles. Sturdy, large gauge zipper. Ample arm room around the shoulders to minimize constrained movement. Flexible materials that conform to the body. CONS: The listed size measurements are inaccurate. The large claims to accommodate a 40" - 44" chest. At best, this will fit a 38" one. (See photo.) There is no extra give as the zipper is closed during use and the sides are seamed. I would still consider this to be a large, as a 40 -44" typically represents an XL. CONCLUSION: This is a 5 star Life Jacket with a sizing typo. ... show more
