This is beautiful. The instructions are fairly well written. I know the wiring has been mentioned in a couple reviews - don't pull the wiring taut as your passing it thru each set of tubing. Get some clothes pins and pull the wiring thru just to the point where it's inside the bottom case and the black of the thick wire is just at the top - then clothespin the two thin wires so they don't fall back down the tube. If you end up with too much black wire exposed after threading thru all the tubes you're going to have a time of it getting it back inside the tubes...I had to take it partially apart to stuff the wire back down. All you need sticking out at the end is the little white plastic plug - it will plug into the light socket, which has it's own few inches, then you just fold those four small wires into the hole. Also, I put the gold cap on upside down - don't be like me, the wide band goes on top to cover the black socket. There are three small screws you have to tighten to make the glass stable - do be sure to seat that stand correctly then tighten the screws - if it isn't set correctly before screwing it will be a little wobbly. Other than that, the instructions are really straight forward, and the pieces are very well marked (unlike other things we've all probably run across). It's really beautiful and very bright - I read another viewer commenting on being too bright - it isn't for me, but I'm using frosted bulbs. If it is too bright, I have seen frosted ones on Amazon that look like they'd fit. I'm very happy with mine. ... show more

🍃 This was fairly easy to assemble by reading a small instruction blurb and looking at the diagram in the directions. I took my time step by step. Sadly, as it was almost assembled, one of the tubes has a defective thread so the damn thing could not be put on straight. Also the thread on a lower tube was too short to even connect to the pole above the shelf. ARGH. This thing is completely USELESS. After taking my time to put together, it is essentially GARBAGE!! The pamphlet says to contact customer service if there is a problem, however there is no easy way to do so. What a bummer and now I have half assembled lamp that is USELESS. 👎👎 ... show more

This was probably one of the most frustrating lamps I’ve had to put together yet. I thought it would have been simple. Everything was labeled. The electrical cords did not slide in and out easily, nor does the extra slack of the cords hide well. I had to tape the extra down underneath the lamp which was a much bigger challenge to try to get the lamp to sit flat or flush against the ground. Because I couldn’t manage to hide the extra slack of electrical wiring inside the poles, the excess wiring came out from the bottom…this extra wiring now makes my top-heavy lamp even more unstable. With all the shoving, pushing and pulling on the wires, the wiring, itself, slipped out of its plastic [connection box?] so I spent a good half-hour trying to fix the end/connection piece. I was so relieved when the lightbulb actually worked knowing the wiring had easily slips out of its plastic socket. I was pretty mad by the end of it…especially when I saw that there is a pile that’s a bit crooked Now that it’s put together and time has passed, I don’t hate this lamp quite so much. Something that I will struggle with is figuring out a quick and practical way to dust or clean inside the dust and dead-fly collecting lampshades. ... show more
