This would have been a perfect setup, if the locking lid actually locked, the lock appears to be there for show and not for actual functionality. I was able to cut my own slit in the drawer to make it function and lock though, so it wasn't a total bummer. The sliding drawer was easy to install and operates smoothly. Haven't actually used this because we bough a glass top adjustable desk that we cannot screw into... however it sits on the shelf in my storage room in its box and never complains. I did take it out and looked at it. it is nice and solid and maybe someday itll come off the shelf.
