Description

The fully integrated Square Register lets you start selling right out of the box with payments, software, and hardware all built by Square—no tablets or apps required. Square Register gives you two touchscreen displays: the seller display lets you effortlessly ring up customers, and the customer display lets customers see what they’re buying and pay and tip onscreen. Accept all types of payments, including EMV chip cards, Apple Pay, Android Pay, other NFC payments, and magstripe cards. Pay 2.6% + 10¢ per swipe, dip, or tap for Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Get funds in your bank account as early as the next business day. The included point-of-sale software helps you take care of everything from managing items and payments to tracking sales in real time and building a customer directory. Square’s hardware is only approved for use in the country for which it is intended. For example, hardware sold or intended for sale in the United States is not approved for use in Australia, Canada, Japan, or the United Kingdom.

I previously bought a register through Square but it was malfunctioning so I returned it and bought this one through Amazon. I read through some other reviews on here saying they received a used product that wasn’t working. Obviously this doesn’t apply to everyone but this wasn’t the case for me. I received a brand new register. I’ve had it for almost a month and it’s been working perfectly. Another review I read claimed that it wasn’t backed by warranty. I called up Square shortly after receiving this register and they confirmed I was covered under warranty until December 2026. It also shows up in my Square dashboard when I search up the register’s serial number. I recommend calling them up as soon as you receive the product to make sure. I have been using the Square Register for a few weeks now and I am very impressed with its performance and features. It is a sleek and modern device that makes my checkout process faster and smoother. It has a large and clear touchscreen that is easy to use and navigate. It was very easy to set up and connect to my wifi network. It came with everything I needed to start using it right away. It accepts all kinds of payments, including credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.     • They refuse to warranty their products unless you buy direct from Square
Don't buy this from Amazon!! It won't be warranted and Amazon will not help! I purchased the Register system in February 2024. In June 2024 the Register stopped recognizing the Customer Display. I checked the Customer Display with other Register and it worked with that Register. I used a different Customer Display that was working and added it to the broken Register but the Register did not recognize that Customer Display either. Both Customer Displays work on one Register. Both Customer Displays don't work on the other Register so, it is the Register that is not working. I updated all troubleshooting steps and software updates. Still did not work. I contacted Square and they said this Register was not eligible for warranty. Now I have to see if Amazon will help with getting something done about this. Don't trust any statement saying the Register is warranted. Square will tell you whatever they want in the end. If I get some help I will update this review. But for now, don't trust them. They don't care about your business. They only care about charging you. ... show more

Overall it’s sleek, easy to use, the detachable screen is great and as idiot proof as you can get (but don’t underestimate people’s ability to undermine the simplicity and get confused). For the price, presentation and simplicity I’d give it 5 stars easily BUT it is just too glitchy. I regularly have small issues like barcodes not scanning or prices being wrong or freezes. ... show more
