  • 5 stars - pleased with color and texture (Roccat Vulcan II mini)
Color: Stealth Dolch
5 stars - pleased with color and texture (Roccat Vulcan II mini). Does a fantastic job of muting sounds despite its relatively low sculpted profile. Lightly chalky textured surface provides perfect grip. The lettering seems sharp and eligible. Definitely worth 30 bucks without question. Cherry Profile ... show more

  • Decently thick PBT keycaps
Color: Stealth Dolch
I ordered the stealth dolch colorway of these keycaps and I must say I really like the color scheme and the legends are not that bad. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 (and the reason why I am not keeping them) is that they are very smooth. I like my keycaps to have a little bit of texture on them and these are super smooth, which feel nice but they're just not for me. My hands are on the drier side and they're just a little too slippery and I know they will probably cause me to make quite a few typing errors. They are decently thick keycaps and they help contribute/produce a deeper sound profile to any board you put them on. ... show more

  • Pretty good for the price especially, had to file some keys though
Color: Marlins
I got the Keychron q5 and needed some keys that shipped fast because my others didn't come in. Honestly, I'm very happy with the feel, color, and sound. I got the blue and red ones, they don't look great with all RGB settings due to colors and personal opinion. I'm not sure if it's because of my keyboard layout or because of the keys themselves, but for the right alt and right function key I had to file them down to fit properly and for them not the be pressed with the spacebar is pressed. All things considered, very cool. ... show more

  • Regardless of the keycaps being clones, you get what you pay for.
Color: Zhuyin
Are these as nice as the real thing? No. Are they good for the price? Yes. I understand the disdain people have for buying clones but some people have to understand a lot of those who are just getting into this hobby don't want to spend $100+ on a keycap set and you can't fault anyone for that. Even I, as someone who's been into keyboards for a few years by this point have only ever spent about $70 on keycap sets (including GMK keycaps that I purchased at a discount or with gift cards that I've received.) Even I have trouble justifying spending $100+ on a set of keycaps so maybe that can give some perspective to those who are giving these products negative reviews just because they are clones. Aside from all that, they're decent keycaps, they have no texture on the surface which may be a massive turn off for a lot of folks but in my experience, I don't notice the texture of a keycap that much when I'm typing anyway (your finger touches the surface for a mere fraction of a second while typing, so I feel that texture is usually pretty negligible, for me, that is.) So my honest opinion of these keycaps is that they're good, but they're never going to beat out the real thing which is also why I feel that people and creators alike shouldn't be scared of these clone keycaps, these really aren't competition for the likes of ePBT or GMK, rather, they're a good gateway product and for some people, they're good enough. ... show more

  • Sturdy keycaps, beautiful color, a wealth of options
Color: Symbiosis
Buying keyboard-related items on Amazon has been a bit of a mixed bag for me. You can never really tell what a keycap is going to look or feel like until you have it in front of you, so I was a little wary when I shelled out $40 for this set of keycaps. Well, I'm happy to report that these are probably some of the best keycaps I've ever used. The colors are precisely as they appear in the picture, with dark gray being the dominant color along with a nice cool blue with a couple of orange/yellow keys for the escape and return keycaps. The caps are sturdy and thick, and have a nice smooth feel with just a little texture to prevent them from feeling slippery. The stems on the underside are also thick, which prevents wobbling or instability. The legends are printed in good, crisp black in a nice font, and true to the description they are dye sublimated, so I don't fear that the legends will wear of any time soon. As you can see from the picture, the caps are entirely opaque, so any RGB lights won't shine through under most conditions, though, as seen in one of my pictures, the yellow keycaps do let some light through when cranked up to max. I also have to applaud HK Gaming for including an entire tray of alternate keys for different keyboard layouts. I use my keyboard on a Mac mostly, and it was great to be able to put the appropriate caps on to reflect my keyboard, which is a bit of a rarity with keycaps. In addition to the Mac keycaps, there are alternate colors for the escape and return keys, as well as UK-style big return keys and a wealth of other options based on your particular keyboard setup. The only negatives I have regarding these keycaps is that a lot of the keys had little burr marks on the undersides and edges from where they were in the mold at the manufacturer. A few minutes with a file can take care of this, though, and all of the issues were on the undersides of the keycaps, so once they were in the keyboard, there wasn't any issue. All in all, if you're going for a nice retro aesthetic, these keycaps are absolutely stunning. My keyboard looks like something straight out of an 80s sci-fi film, and I love it. ... show more
