I ordered this to replace the sticky take that was on my jet ski. I used the blue and it looks great. It was easy to cut with scissors and install. It has been on all summer and it is working good. It is not pealing up or falling off. I also used the 3m adhesive promotor to help.

Spent one full day laying out my 18ft boat. This stuff cuts easy.. sticks great to CLEAN surfaces. Not an easy job but it’s worth the time! We laid out slightly bigger pieces then trimmed in place with an exacto knife. Seams are hard to find if you lay them tight together. Aluminum boat felt 20 degrees cooler … and immediately felt the difference while installing. It’s soft and easy on the bare feet and knees when you are down and very durable. Had it in over a year now and it’s amazing considering the abuse we put it though with fishing. Great traction even when wet and I highly reccomend it. ... show more

I really like the color of this jungle camo next to the army green of my Lowe John boat. The material is thick enough to provide strong coverage without being so thick that it becomes difficult to work with. I did my installation in November so the weather had cooled off. I found the self adhesive backing to not be adequate to properly fix the foam to a piece of painted marine grade plywood. I purchased a can of professional grade spray adhesive and coated both the underside of the foam as well as the wooden surface. I let the glue stand for a couple of minutes and then placed the camo foam on the wood deck. This worked much better. I don’t believe the glue would ever be strong enough to adhere properly to plywood without the additional layer of spray glue adhesive. The finished product looks phenomenal! I did however use a lot of stainless steel staples in order to properly hold the foam in place, especially on edges and corners that were under stress. Without stainless steel staples I would have been utterly disappointed with the product. I believe it is necessary to use staples as well as glue when adhering this foam to Wood. It is now December and I am about to take my boat and store it in an outdoor, totally enclosed garage which is not heated. We will see how the foam holds up over the next three winter months or longer. This product is not cheap. It is 94 inches long which sounds like a lot, but it is just shy of being 2 foot wide. One roll does not cover all that much. It took me three rolls to finish my boat decking project and then I ordered one additional roll for future projects for fear that I might not be able to get the exact same product six months from now. That is about $240 for my 12 foot johnboat project as compared to about $50 for carpet at the local hardware store. It looks good but it is rather expensive. ... show more

Awesome product, easy to install. Just make sure to use contact cement before installation as the adhesive backing likes to peel up easily.

Used to replace grip tape on front triangle section of aluminum bass boat. Nice and soft, color matches dark gray carpet well. Bought a large sheet, had enough to cover rear battery compartment cover as well. Stays much cooler than the bare aluminum. After removing film from rear of product I did spray with additional adhesive. Used acetone to remove old adhesive from aluminum boat and did spray aluminum also with adhesive before install. Adhesive works well, I didn’t use anything extra. Cuts easily and is durable. Can use a high pressure hose to clean it right off. Helps absorb heat so my boat deck isn’t scorching! Highly recommend. Update: Been about 6 months or so. It’s peeling off. Material is still strong and looks good though. Recommend using some sort of roll on adhesive with it and I don’t think you’ll have an issue. ... show more
