  • Great Beginner Flux-Core / Stick Welder
Style: FLUX MIG-135
Videos on using similar Flux cored welders are available on YouTube. Excessive tension pressure on the wire feed wheel, excess wire stick out (CTWD over 1/2 inch), and unstable / shaky one-handed torch positioning seem to be the major causes for "poor operation" of these small 'Gasless Wire Feed DC Welders'. I've had zero (0) experience with a wire feed welder, less than a dozen hours using a 100 Amp stick welders, but over a decade of fitting / soldering and or brazing copper pipe for refrigerant and or water, it took less than thirty (30) minutes to make strong penetrating welds in the 1/8 in. steel channel. Works great for intended purpose; an inexpensive entry level 3 in 1 welder. Set at 75 Amps with Synergic control on / active and with supplied 0.030 (0.8 mm) Flux Core wire it welded 1/8 in. Steel C-channel with ease (trials), required 'C' tip movement. Used the wire feed welder to quickly repair a generator exhaust flange that was snapped off. Plan to use it for a future repair on my auto exhaust which will provide 100% ROI. The cost of Welder, Auto Darkening Helmet, Welding Gloves, 3M Half Face respirator, all accessories and consumables was still under $200.00 total. Purchased Forney Nozzle Gel to prevent slag buildup on nozzles and tips. Tried (recommended) Petroleum Jelly aka Petrolatum which worked the same and is the primary ingredient for all major manufacturers' products; Nozzle Gel or Nozzle Dip. Also as recommended in videos, replaced the supplied MIG Gas Nozzle and 'Holder' with a Gasless / Flux Nozzle (in photo) and Holder which makes it easier to view and control the weld pool. ... show more

  • This welder is excellent
Style: MIG-100
This is very nice welder easy to handle easy to use. Does an excellent job for welding small jobs. Very impressed with the weight distribution how it fits in your hand and works very well.

  • Great for Newbies.
Style: FLUX MIG-135
Great welder for the price. The documentation is lacking details for a beginner welder.

  • Great Value and works well.
Style: MIG-100
I had my doubts but this thing has amazed me. I laid down probably 6 beads 10 inches long one after another, to build up a wearbar on a snowmobile ski. The substrate was a .250" piece of plate steel. I was running the welder on a 14 ga 10 foot extension cord as well and it still worked fine.

  • Buy another brand
Style: FLUX MIG-135
I guess the 1 I got only the stick welder worked ! I would have kept it if product support was any good they never responded and couldn’t help me with this in anyway ! I returned it a got another brand an it works great ! I’d advise to buy a different brand you won’t get any product support if you are having problems ! Come to find out mine was sent with a defect ! ... show more

  • This thing is awesome for the money!
Style: MIG-100
Wow! This thing actually works and was not hard to setup at all. It's light enough to handled with ease. Feed rate control is good, no issues with tripping a 15amp breaker. Used this next to my stick welder for comparison on some dirty metal home repair odd work. Was able to start the weld easier (less scratching and digging), pool was good, and flow was good. I'm better with the stick welder because of experience, but I'm going to make this my go-to for a while and see how things develop. ... show more

  • Great Little Welder
Style: FLUX MIG-135
I wanted something that I could carry easily. This is a well made welder with a 10 ft cable on the MIG gun. The synergy function was very good right out of the box and after tweaking it about 0.2 volts, I was getting smooth beads with just a little spatter. The ground clamp and stick welding stinger were surprisingly well made. The manual settings were wider than expected and cover what I would use for most sheet metal welding. The fan is much louder than expected but works very well. I was surprised to find a welder that worked this well at this price. Great value! ... show more
